This is a sad day.

An essential part of our childhood is going into extinction.

Polaroid has announced that they will stop making Polaroid instant cameras and film.

For reals!

Instead, the company is going to focus on making digital cameras and manufacturing TVs.

Buy your Polaroids and film on eBay. They're gonna be a thing of the past real soon!

Such a bummer.

People are going to pay out of the ass for Pro film and cameras that use instant film.

Why Polaroids.. not everyone wants people to see their photos. While you can print your pics from a Dig camera at home, its not the same.

for those who have worked in the photography industry this is not news to me, I have been a photgrapher for 3 years and worked in several studios and labs that develop pics, we stopped selling poloroid like 2 years ago and thats when they told us poloroid was phasing out instant film and cameras'

First of all, you need to get your facts together. Polariod will continue production of the product through the end of this year. They're currently looking for another company to take over production of the film, and possibly the cameras. Even if no one decides to produce the film in place of Polariod, Fuji makes the film too, so it's NOT going to be a "thing of the past" just yet.

Thanks perez I seriously just went on ebay and am going to stock up.. the only thing that's shitty is that the film totally has an expiration date so eventually it's inevitable that they'll run out. We should try to convince them to sell it online only because I know one of the reasons it go so expensive was because people were stealing it.
