Madonna was interviewed yesterday in Berlin about her new short film, Filth and Wisdom.

This video of her is so unintentionally hilarious, we LOVE it!

1) Her face is frozen, just like her song.

2) The British accent is back!

It's Madonna. She can still do no wrong.

It doens't sound like a British accent to me. More like slightly influenced by British accent around her.

Well, I actually think that the video isn't that hilarious.

You should stop being so superficial and not focus on the looks only. I agree that her face doesn't look natural at all, but it's a familiiar look. All the actors and actresses look like that. It's a pity.

Apart from that I think she has a quite interesting point of view. Maybe a little bit to metaphorical but nevertheless interesting.

I especially liked the philosophical aspect "One can't reach enlightment if he hadn't gone through a period of dark"

It's nothing new, but it's good to remember.

Well when you go to Europe you must choose between becoming somewhat European yourself or just remaining American. The pressure is on to become European and if you remain American they will snub you. It's not nice, but that's the way it is, especially in England, and most especially in Germany. In England you had better adopt their ways and speech patterns a little, and in a German television interview you had better put your sense of humor on hold and be as sober and substantive as you can be. Madonna is obviously trying to do this, but it's possible to get the impression that she'd like to bust out and talk some jive and crack some jokes. Wonder how many good jokes she thought of during the interview but put a chokehold on them and kept her face as straight as the Brandenburg Gate.

Oh Madonna, where to begin, so much to say about this 6 minutes i just spent on watching this clip, here goes….

1. She looks great even if she is "enhanced". you sort of have to appreciate that she knows shes Madonna and is trying to look awesome for her adoring public. Its hard for me to knock her on the surgery/botox whatever cuz it turned out good.

2. The accent cracks me up. I mean its a lovely accent and shes worked very hard at transforming herself into a credible artist who sounds like she has class and breeding but it is sort of funny when u remember nasaly michegan/new york accent madonna that we grew up with.

3. Should we commend her for the transformation and new accent etc or be weirded out that its a little creepy and indicitive of mental illness? I'm on the fence about this stuff but love her anyway.

4. I love watching her act so prim and cultured and taking herself so seriously now that shes 50 with children, I mean these pop tarts should grow up and she has done wonderfully but its kind of funny too. Hello this is the chick who made the sex book and made that movie with the tiger where she spoke awful.

5. Shes had the same hair for 10 years it seems. I would like to see her go dark and match her adorable daughter.

My daughter much like Madonnas' Lourdes is a beautiful young dark complected girl with a slight mustache and wild heavy unibrow. This isnt a joke so be serious, I want advice.

At 8-12 years old when they look like this but havent come to you asking for help yet, what do you do? I dont want to point it out and suggest she let me pluck or wax it and make her self conscience because she is indeed beautiful. For some reason God made her hairy like Lourdes. What do you do as a mother? I know the day will come when kids will point it out and make fun, do i try to head that off and bring it up to her and fix it or do I let her beautiful face go the way it is and wait to see if she ever asks me to help her?

That's not a British accent. My family just sailed the boat over here (okay, plane) and some of us still have a n. accent but most of us don't. If you ever talk to someone with a PhD in Literature or something similar they almost sound like they have an accent, but it's just the way other Americans hear it. She is just speaking properly. Nobody in any part of GB would sound like that.

about the "accent". here is the thing. if someone from england moves to the states and lives there for twenty years or so, they start to lose their english "accent" and sound more "american" when they speak. it is viewed as normal. but when an american moves to england, and the same process occurs, they are viewed as pretending to be cultured. it is normal to begin to sound the people all around you where you spend almost all of your time. not only that, her husband and children have english "accents". she doesn't live in michigan or new york. it would be harder to maintain an american "accent" in her milieu than to begin to sound like the people who live with her and around her. it is simply normal.

Sure, it's NOT totally British BUT you can tell she's put on an accent. There are so many people American go to live in England and never pick up the accent. It would be so phony. BUT I expect this from Madonna. It's really like her to want to be accepted as a cultured, refined, "artist" after breaking into the business with a SLUTTY image, and then years of sex, controversy, That's how she made it BIG. Re: peb – I can see your point to a degree. I was born in Iowa, grew up in Germany, then moved to North Carolina for college when I was 18 and now have a pretty solid southern accent. Most of my friends and coworkers are southerners. But Madonna was a grown-ass woman when she moved to the UK. I think it's a little odd that she'd spend so much time with a—Midwestern?—American accent and then suddenly Brit out on everyone. If she was younger when she'd moved, I would understand a little more. But this is pretty corny, especially since so much of her career depends on what she sounds like. Hate to say this, but she has had more than Botox. She's had work on her eyes (remember the brusing pics) and also on her cheeks. Whoever did it did a great job…very subtle. You can't really tell in still pictures, but you can tell when she talks in video. I think she picks up the accent from spending so much time in Britian and because of her husband.
