While he's rotting in jail, Lane Garrison is trying to drum up some publicity.
He can't be forgotten!
The former Prison Break actor, whose drunk driving car crash resulted in the death of a teenager, wrote this letter to Access Hollywood about his time behind bars.
He says:
“Greetings and Happy New Year to you and everyone at Access Hollywood from Donovan State Prison. Never did I think I would be saying the words ‘happy & prison’ in the same sentence and not be on a set. It’s pure irony coming from the show and now living the real deal. It’s surreal and mind-blowing to say the least.
Just this past Monday they let a group of inmates watch the season premiere of Prison Break. It felt like an out of body experience as I stood around a crowd of tattooed felons watching Michael Scofield try to escape … all of us longing to be free as well!
This has been the hardest year of my life. I hope people, young and old, are learning from my mistakes and what can happen when you drink and drive. I have much to say about the pain I’ve felt and seen inside of prison. It has been eye-opening and a harrowing experience.”

Many, I mean MANY of you have been considered under the influence while driving sometime in your life. Many of you may have even had DUI's before. This man I'm sure is sorry. And drinking and driving is a shame. But it's a bigger shame on the state and the country that they'd allow parking lots at bars, valet parking attendants at establishment where people obviously are going to drink.
In this nation so dependent on oil and cars how can we crack down so hard. Bars, clubs, the Super Bowl, Baseball games, all American past times that encourage drinking and driving.
America refuses to invest in trains, good public transportation and continues to raise license fees for Taxi Cab drivers which in turn raises rates for cabs.
Such a hypocritical country and issue in so many ways.
We imprison people for smoking crack much longer than cocaine which is a much more potent form of the drug and we've all heard of prohibition which just led to and eventual forced end because quick fixes and laws that punish people for being human and bills that old white men vote for without thinking never work.
