Owen Wilson is getting back into the swing of things after his attempted suicide last year.
The actor is set to start filming a new movie.
Marley & Me begins shooting in Miami next month.
Marley & Me, based on a memoir, depicts the lives of a young columnist and his wife, also a reporter, who move to South Florida and adopt an incredible puppy named Marley.
The film co-stars Jennifer Aniston.
This smells like box office disaster!

Well it was a great book about an INSANE ass dog so I guess we'll have to see if it bombs in the theater. If done well it could totally be cute.

The book is excellent. It will make you laugh, big time. Everyone should read it. If you are a dog lover especially. I am not a big time reader but I read that from front to back.

The movie does sound kind of lame but I love Owen and I am glad he is getting back to work. He is a funny guy and I like his movies. I hope he feels better now and has his life sorted out.

Amazingly Jennifer Annistan, the least talented of all the "Friends" gets the majority of the work. Can anyone of you think of ANY film she's done that was a quality piece of work. Owen Wilson is just a pretty boy who never has been able to act his way out of the proverbial paper sack. Shall we take bets now as to how many times he ends up in his tighty whities is the pic?
If you haven't read the book, it's fantastic. I don't know anyone who has read it that didn't cry at the end. Howard Stern even said he cried afterwards. It's a very touching story with lots of humor. I am looking foward to seeing it.
Marley & Me was a great book and a huge bestseller, so there's potential there. I don't know about the matchup between Aniston and Wilson, but they are both good at this kind of dramedy, so hopefully it'll work out well.

The movie is based on the book that my good friend John Grogan wrote, called Marley and Me, about John's dog Marley.

I bet it goes a little something like this:

This is one of my favorite books and if Jennifer Aniston is playing who I think she'll be playing, I really hope she doesn't fuck this movie up.

I loved this book!! I certainly don't see these two as the two main characters though. Grogan is a community journalist with a sarcastic yet eloquent manner- totally not Owen Wilson. I hope hollywood doesn't turn this into some 'Beethoven' piece of crap.

I went back and read the other posts….I know the post said it was based off a memoir but I was having a duh moment and didn't realize it was based off of a novel…..The other posts said it was a very good book so maybe it won't be a lame movie but sometimes books don't translate well into movies. I will def see if I can find the book now and read it…….then I will watch the movie and see. I know I LOVED the book A Walk to Remember but the movie was not as good. It wasn't bad but I was expecting more.

the book, "marley and me" is absolutely hilarious and heartwarming! you will laugh out loud and you will eventually cry your eyes out. if the movie is half as good as the book, it will be fantastic! i am definitely going to see it!

Actually, the book 'Marley and Me' was written beautifully and is definitely a tear jerker. If they don't screw up the movie it shouldn't be a disaster.

Oh Perez, if you are even a little bit of a dog lover, you have got to read the book Marley and Me by John Grogan. It's funny & heartwarming, and you'll definitely cry at the end! The book has great potential for a movie.
