Angelina, dear….Let me correct you on your statement. In 2001 Janet was honored as MTV's first ICON. Destiny's Child(including Beyonce) paid homage to Janet and performed one of her songs. Before the performance, Beyonce stated(in front of a live audience) that as a child she got her start in singing and dancing by performing material from Janet's Rhythm Nation album. Might I add that Beyonce herself said,"We owe it all to Miss Janet Jackson". And yes, Beyonce was noticeably very nervous while she was speaking. It is true that Beyonce is more publicly involved in the business, however, that shouldn't take away from Janet's talents and accomplishments over her 20 plus successful career. I have been to all over Janet's concerts and she is amazing. I have been to Beyonce's concert as well and she is great also. They are both amazing performers, but I just wanted to educate you on what you said because you seamed very misinformed.
