An Exception To The Rule
When most celebrity couples split, they always say they "remain friends." It's always bullshit!
But, in the case of Pink and Carey Hart, it's not spin. It's true.
The rebel diva has posted the following message on her official blog, asking her fans to be cool with Carey, cuz he's cool and they're really still cool.
She says:
"Hi everybody.
I wanted to reach out personally to all my fans/friends out there in the world. First and foremost, thank-you for all of your support and love, it means a lot to me right now. The most important thing for you all to know, is that Carey and I love each other so so much. This break up is not about cheating, anger, or fighting. I know it sounds like cliche bullshit, but we are best friends, and we will continue to be. All I know at this point, is that I want to make the best album I can, and Carey wants to do the best possible job he can with everything he has going on. He is a good man, so please support him as well. One never knows the future, but mine and Careys' just might involve beach babies and sunshine one day. Just not right now.

How is this ok? I don't wish anyone a difficult or drawn out divorce, but why is this couple splitting up if they get along so well. I have seen this happen with so many of my friends. They get married and expect that they will feel butterflies everyday for the rest of thier lives. Thats a fairy tale. I have been married for 5 years. There are still days that I feel like a teenager when I hear my husbands car pull up. MOre often than not, I still feel a little weak when he looks at me a certain way. But there were whole months that I didn't feel like that. But he is always my best friend. He is always the man that I promised to love in front of God and our families. I don't know where the people in my generation got the idea that marriage should be one long fling, full of hot sex and passionate kisses untill the day we die. Marriage is hard, maybe the hardest thing I have ever done. But sticking through petty arguments and not so petty disasters it what builds a strong relationship. Why are we all so quick to give up?
