I wonder how many of you actually watched the debate. She said a lot more than that–including a spectacularly tacky 'xerox' comment that was booed. For much of the time, she failed to actually address the questions that were aimed at her reluctance to say to Barack's face what she's been saying on the campaign trail. All in all, she is really quite fake and hypocritical.

Furthermore, I'll bet that Perez, in his infinite wisdom, didn't know that much of her final answer was 'plagiarized' from John Edwards.

she's not honored, she is PISSED- and she is filling out those divorce papers from Bill RIGHT NOW in preparation for the day after the election. Class act, my ass. Hillary is a vicious machine. Obama is a daydreamer who doesn't even know where the bathrooms are in the White House. The dems got two losers this time. You will PAY dearly for this- the young people in this country will never make a dime now- every pay raise you get will increase your taxes. Obama wants the federal government (meaning tax money) to be all powerful. It is NOT what it is supposed to be. Good luck with your future- you won't have one.

Oh snap, MSNBC was recently given the heads up on this…

    From Urbanagora:

Did anyone notice Hillary totally plagiarized John Edward's closing line in the debate.

How dare she after the "change you can xerox" line. Her high point of the night was STOLEN.

    October 30, 2007 debate:

"As a matter of fact, it's not about any of us. The truth is, when this election is over, I'm going to be fine. Senator Clinton is going to be fine. Senator Obama's going to be fine. Will America be fine? And will we ensure — and I think this is the great moral test of our generation — will we ensure that our children have a better life than we have had? That's the responsibility we have." - John Edwards

There's videos of the speech on youtube, but Perez is censoring the fuck out of my posts and won't allow the linkage to go through- LOSER!!!

I find it extremely sad and pathetic that not only HIllary's "shining moment" at the end were paraphrased plagiarism of John Edwards, but how she used the wounded veterans to show how supposedly empathic she is.

She was partly responsible for those wounds; those w/skin burns, no legs, no arms, no eyes, PTSD, suicides, and outright deaths of our soldiers, Iraqi civilians b/c of the illegal pre-emtive doctrine that she supported.

If Dodd, Biden, and Edwards can admit they made a mistake for their vote to "Authorize the use of Force in Iraq", then why can't HIllary?

  10. I looked at Obama right after the debate and saw says – reply to this

    210

I looked closely at Obama right after the debate and saw a very stressed out man who looked defeated. As he signed autographs Obama looked worried and preoccupied. He seems like a guy biting off more than he can chew. America is in crisis and I think deep down he realizes he can't really handle it.

Hilliary, on the other hand looked and sounded like a confident winner. As the crowd jumped to their feet after she gave a fantastic inspirational heartfelt closing remark, I could not believe my ears. The CNN bitch leading the debate says…….the crowd is giving Hilliary and Obama a standing ovation.

WHAT A CROCK! The ovation was for clearly for her.

This is just another example at how the press has been promoting Obama and dissing Hilliary every step of the way since the beginning of the campaign.

  11. The fat lady hasn't sung... says – reply to this

    211

Murky questionable things about Obama past are left unexamined while the media walks on eggshells…not daring to raise hard questions.

Only the bloggers who care about exposing the truth about Obama are doing the questioning. The press has been treating Obama with kid gloves and Hillary with boxing gloves. Nearly every election related article from the begining has been titled and slanted in a way detrimental to Hillary and favorably to Obama.

Obama will lose to Mccain because next to McCain he is a weak inexperienced man. Kerry was 17% ahead of Bush before the Republican convention. When it is in the best interests of the conservative media to tear down Obama as November nears, we will see this preacher's popularity go into a free fall. There is a lot for them to use against him and since it is not getting out now it sure as hell will later.

Hillary is the best choice. She can beat McCain in Nov. She is his peer and more than his equal which can not be said for Obama.

I am ASHAMED and APPALLED at the negative comments and vulgarity being used about Senator Clinton by other women. Boy, your mothers taught you right didn't they…NOT! You are a DISGRACE!! 213

Re: I looked at Obama right after the debate and saw – . Damn, you were looking too hard at something, but Obama looking defeated wasn't it. He is however suffering from a cold and was probably very tired from having been forced to have to debate the losing candidate once again. A president's job is hardwork, so please shew off so that he can prepare for the honorable job of the next President of the United States of America.

This race was over on Super Tuesday — Obama stunned the Clintons by holding his own, and ever since he’s been soaring while she fumbles for message, strategy and cash.
One year ago, 47% of Americans held an unfavorable view of Hillary Clinton.
After a year of incessant campaigning, 19 debates and blowing through $140 million+, that 47% number has not budged. If she had spent $300 million and they’d had 50 debates, the numbers would be the same.

Hillbilly's negatives are TOO HIGH. She can't win the general!

Hi Perez, you don't have to post this but are you aware of the large story looming about Larry Sinclair on YouTube? I'm assuming you are and maybe you already posted his video months ago. I might have missed it. I've been reading that blog all day and it seems something is coming out soon and the Larry supporters are pushing the MSM to cover this since it has so many questioning whether it is true. There are over 11,000 comments and YouTube seems to be suppressing the hits of the video - it's count was at around 460,000 but it should be over a million. Bill O'Reilly last night hinted that a story about a "major" Democat is being ignored on purpose by the MSM (it might be this Larry Sinclair story, I don't know). This was in response to the NYT covering the McCain affair with no real proof. I know you don't want to piss off all of your Obama fans, who are mean and immature. Maybe you already know all of this is coming out soon and will reveal it once someone covers it first?

How is Michelle Obama going to feel if she makes it to the White House? Hmmm, will that make her proud to be an American? I'm sorry, but her comments really turned me off. I thought behind every great man, there is supposed to be a great woman. Apparently, not in this case.

    Re: Jenny

Oh brother. Nice try, attempting to smear Obama in a sex scandal.

Hillary is a lesbian and many reports show the repubs are going to "OUT" her if she's our nominee. Do you think the little old ladies who make up her core base are going to vote for her then??

She's been living with a woman for years… she's just so ashamed to be gay she's hiding it… what a loser!

  38. Alexandra says – reply to this

    238

I don't think her comments were in any way heartfelt. Rather, that they were a political calculation; a contrivance to make her appear more palatable to those among the undecided who may be swayed her way by a bit of “niceness.”

That she hearkened back to her tearful moment in NH (”people ask me how I do it, how I keep going…”), alluded to her “tough times” with a philandering husband and then proceeded to deliver her “but we’ll be fine” soliloquy was more slimy political maneuvering to milk the sympathy card than I could reasonably stomach.

  39. Jenny says – reply to this

    239

The question here is why isn't the MSM covering this large story - it is all over the internet but not on the news channels on television? Why would they cover the McCain story which was not verified or proven by the NYTimes? Why would they cover the Bill Clinton infidelity stor(ies) before they were proven? Why wouldn't they interview this Larry Sinclair too? That's all I'm saying. If Obama is all for equality, we want equal coverage of all the stories on television.

  40. Michelle Obama Stinks says – reply to this

    240

    241

The cold, calculating ruthless Queen-machine is at it again! This debate was their last secret weapon. First they clamored on the negative TV ads to make sure they get the debate. Next they strategized the game plan like a football coach or a long distance runner would. Just like the tears in NH, she wanted to consolidate her core white women (& some men) vote. We Americans do respond to a ‘heartfelt cry for help’. So she mentions soldiers she voted to send to Iraq and boom! suddenly she's viewed as compassionate!

  42. Obama won the debate says – reply to this

    242

Since we’re all dissecting Clinton’s closing, here are my thoughts.

    1. Obama was equally gracious towards her in his opening remarks, as others have noted.
    2. Clinton’s saying “when people ask me how I do it…” was a blatant and robotic effort to recreate the pre-NH moment that elicited sympathy and votes.
    3. She plagiarized John Edward's comments and included a line from the movie "Primary Colors".

Like the Xerox remark, this was scripted and calculating. Please let’s not swoon over Clinton on the assumption it was anything else.

are you kidding? republicans would LOVE to run against hillary. they have so much dirt on her the smear campaigns will be effortless. they'll have no problems ripping her, her character, her credibility, and YES, HER RECORD to shreds. and if you actually did any research at all on obama (as an educated voter would), you'd be aware that he served in the illinois state senate before being elected to the us senate. you'd also be aware that, despite hillary's comments regarding "results over rhetoric," he's also had a big hand in getting legislation passed. NOT JUST PROPOSED (hello hillary's healthcare plan in the 1990s that FAILED), but PASSED. maybe if you actually did your research, YOU would be able to see beyond all of HILLARY'S desperate, childish smears.

Re: jess – First why are Obama supporters so mean and get really upset when you give your views? Actually I have done my research (like any educated person would). I know what he has done and not done and I wasn't impressed. For a "educated person" you sound very uneducated and childish. Okay vote for Obama but don't try to criticize and put others down just because they don't agree with you. Plus if you did do research and knew how things were really going you would know Republicans ARE voting for Obama to get Clinton out the way. They really don't have dirt that we haven't already heard. We don't know any dirt on Obama (except that man coming forward saying he had something with him but don't know if true or not). The media is babying him and praising him so much. I can see him winning and then everything coming to light. So I don't need any false hopes I want action. So like I said from one "educated person and one so call educated person YOU vote for who YOU want to and I will gladly do the same.

OK… you say you know what he has done. Good. Tell me what he's done then!

Make sure to include that in the first eight years of his elected service in Illinois he sponsored over 820 bills on issues such as healthcare reform,
poverty and public assistance, crime and the economy.

Make sure to include the bills he passed while in the senate such as the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act, the Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, the 2007 Government Ethics Bill, and the Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill.

Got all that? I'll tell you why Obama supporters are upset. Because they act like Hillary owns the market on "experience" and stupidly dismiss Obama's years of hard word as "nothing". He has worked hard for this country. Please don't dismiss all of his accomplishments.

    .
    .
first of all, i never said anything about you voting for obama. you can vote for whomever you choose. but perhaps the reason i, and other obama supporters get so "angry" is that people act as if barack is just this random, well spoken guy who came out of nowhere and leans on his ability to inspire as a sole crutch to get by. as "hillary supporters are unfair," noted, it seems like some people seem to think hillary has a monopoly on "experience," as if such a monopoly could actually exist. you say you know his record, and what he's done? then why try to discredit his experience, the service he's provided to his constituents, and all the legislation he's brought to fruition by saying something like "what has he done before?"

  61. Natasha says – reply to this

    261

    Re: Hillary supporters are unfair
Okay I admit he has done somethings. But we are talking about president I still see him as not ready. Hillary supporters should be upset also because the media are praising Obama like he is a saint. Some people are only voting for him because he is black or the more likable person. They don't look at what the person will do. I just see Obama bringing false hope about change. I just don't see him making it to the white house. The republicans got something up their sleeves. Things haven't changed that much. In the beginning Obama started criticizing Hillary first especially on the war. At the time I too thought they should go to war. When you think about family and friends dying in WTC yeah I wanted them to go. But now everyone is seeing it wasn't the best but at the time it was. So I'm not going to argue because you feel strongly about your opinions and I do too.

I have heard a lot of attacks that they have planned for Hillary — no, she is not "vetted"; there is a LOT more dirt that they have on her and have not used.

She's saying this because it is absolutely impressive how well he is doing with this race. He's young and was supposed to be the underdog, yet he's coming up on top. If she's going to bow out, she might as well do it with class.

    274

Perez I know that you wanted Hillary, but that was a really poignant thing to say. I wish I could like Hillary but she constantly lies and plays dirty politics. This is why Obama has won the heart of the country, even in all white states. He is the real deal. They both stand for so many of the same good things, but they go about it so fundamentally different. Thanks for finally reporting objectively even though Hillary is yor girl. He estado muy enojada contigo pero ya te estas portando justo: mil gracias.

Yep, loved the debate. Barack was very poised and professional. Hillary definitely did NOT score anything on Sen. Obama, especially with her immature "mud-slings."

Looks like someone is giving in…
She might as well give it up already.

She's D-O-N-E. Time's up. Clock's ringing. Bell is tolling. Strike three. Dunzo. Audios. Syanora. Get to steppin'.

    OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT!!

    Re: Go Hillary
CNN polls have proven Barack will beat McCain, hands down. U really should read into who you're voting for and learn what the strategists and analysts are saying, because you couldn't be more wrong. I was all for Hillary at first, I felt she was a good candidate…she is; but BARACK HAS PROVEN HIMSELF TO BE MUCH BETTER and I think the polls more-than reflect that. However, each is own. Barack has my vote.

    278

That was 1 of the most lame debates ever! They didnt "debate" anything? They both hate each other, as what was obvious in the early part of the elections. But since that wasn't working, lets do what we do best and pretend like we enjoy each other>? How fake…and unreal is that. Next look @ the options… 1) an inexperienced motivational speaker w/ no merit .. 2) or woman whom people cheer for because of her cheating, lying, racist almost getting impeached husband shares to same last name? They have made so many promises all of which will raise every ones taxes. I believe both hilary and borat obama's promises would cost the USA 200 billion additional dollars in spending? All I can say is don't vote based unrealistic promises….and don't fall for slogans, needs to look at thw whole picture.

Obama did cocaine in Chicago in the back of a limo with Larry Sinclair in 1999. Sinclair filed suit on Obama and the Democratic National Committee to compel release of this information to the public on 2/11/08. Sinclair took a polygraph test on 2/22/08 and the results will be released to the national media early next week. Check out whitehouse dot com for the details. Bill O"Reilly has stated that he will run with the story next week once he reviews the polygraph. Obama is done…………..

Hillary will make a better diplomat than Obama, and she would make a better president. For her to say that, after Obama has done so many hateful things to her (including getting the NYPost to continually belittle her) is really something. By the way, on Feb 5th in NY at 4 poll sites there were Obama supporters outside with signs and pamplets like 5 feet from the door, which is ILLEGAL. I was a poll site worker, and even on my lunch break, I had to talk to police to get them to move, since the Obama supporters refused to move otherwise. From the top down, this guy is dishonest and runs a dirty campaign. I did not see Hillary supporters doing illegal campaigning at any poll site in Manhattan. Obama makes me sick, he is the phony one, not Hillary.

  89. cuban for obama says – reply to this

    289

i didn't like what hillary said about cuba. obama's plans to communicate with cuba are much more diplomatic and definitely needed. hillary wants to "wait" to talk to fidel's brother…she needs a sign, proof that cuba wants to be a democracy. it's that sense of arrogance that she displays that will continue to distance the US from other countries. that's one of the MANY reasons why i'm voting OBAMA.

Obama copied/ripped off Hillary's (economic) stimulus package. He also would sit down with leaders of rogue nations (I believe best is not to talk to them, not to give them any recognition, whatsoever) Hillary is the only candidate who would not withdraw from Iraq but keep a small force and change the mission, not as combat troops but to stabilize. This is good. Shouldn't stay there but can't not make a second mistake of leaving a mess behind either.

I don't trust Obama. First, who is he? Where did he come from? Exploding onto the scene like the antichrist. Or a cult leader, like Hitler (that would make sense how Cheney is a nazi and both are the same party. Obama is a republican. A closet republican. He is running as a Dem since the GOP never would run him. With him America, and the world, would be going to hell anyway) able to sway the masses clouding thinking, independent thought. What has he achieved? What has he accomplished in his life?

I don't get it. College kids fall for the hype or what?

And what he did to BC … I myself have experienced betrayal. That is why I cannot support him and albeit a Dem, I'm a Conservative Democrat, I'd rather support someone I believe in.

McCain is a military man. I respect that. He was tortured and … paid for it dearly. Price of loyalty. He at least is authentic.
    .
Be it only on one issue I'd support him on abortion.

One of the few classy things she said all night. Together we stand, Perez? How about that nasty trash she was slinging not half an hour before? And I'm certainly not a big fan of Barack Obama, but at least he has class and didn't cut his opponent down like a child when the opportunity presented itself. He could have shoved his ten state lead in her face on national tv but turned the other cheek instead. For that, I now have a little more respect for Barack Obama, and little to none for Hillary "Vote for me and you get Bill too!" Clinton.

Well, since Hillary's chancing of winning the nomination are looking dim, I guess I will vote for Nader to spite Obama. To me, he is just as bad as the rethugs.
