Remember Lindsay Lohan's highly publicized car accident two and a half years ago in front of the Ivy?
Well, La Lohan and the guy (Raymundo Ortega) driving the other car involved JUST settled their beef this week.
They've spent the last few months doing that legal sparring thing. Ortega fired first claiming that Lindz was negligent, inebriated and distracted by the paps. Lohan counter-punched and asserted that Ortega was making an illegal U-Turn when they collided (corroborated by a CHP incident report).
Ortega's attorney stated his client is pleased with the out-of-court deal that had been reached but wouldn't disclose how much Lindsay ponied up.
Ortega had asked for $200K.
Lohan's lawyers have yet to comment about the deal.
But if they did, they'd probably say, "Fuck Ortega. Forget about Lindsay. WE'RE the real winners! You owe us $300k in legal bills, biyatch!"

Actually, she probably owes them nothing for legal bills. When you are sued for causing a car accident, your car insurance is responsible so they appoint lawyers to defend you. These lawyers don't cost you anything.

It seems like the new American dream is getting in some kind of accident with a wealthy person or corporation - the biggest 'get rich quick scheme' out there - better than playing the fucking lottery. if this guy had some medical bills to settle, ok, that's understandable, but I highly doubt it was $200K worth. and the whole 'money for my troubles' is bullshit - like that woman with the mcdonald's coffee. if the exact same incident happened at say 'mom and pop's corner coffee shop' - she wouldn't have done a damn thing, but since it was mcdonald's, she saw a golden opportunity - same thing with this guy and la lohan. he probably jumped for joy after the accident.
