Fucking LAME!!! The WORST was whenever Jon Stewart would stop and remind us of what a "great moment" we JUST FUCKING SAW!?!?!? Are people So completely fucking drugged up that they can't remember what they just FUCKING PROCESSED less than a fucking NANOSECOND EARLIER?!?!? Fire GIL FUCKING CATES IMMEDIATELY! I TiVo'd the whole thing and will watch it later today. I just can't stand the commercials any more. Maybe that is what more people are doing these day.
All the winning actors were from outside of the US. I thought it was one of the more elegant shows I've seen, except for all the musical garbage. Yuck, Keri Russell. Yuckier, Enchanted. gag gag gag.
Even the red carpet was boring, except for Gary Busey, he rocked. Why was Miley "Billy Ray Cyrus" there?

This was directly due to Jon Stewart's un-funny hosting. He is just not likable. I turned if off early and NEVER do that. This morning they did a montage of the funniest parts to prove how great the writing was etc. None were funny! And you don't put pictures up of pregnant women and say "and the baby goes to…" Some of those women have had miscarriages for gods sakes!Such poor taste!
Bring back Whoopie, Ellen, Billy, Steve Martin, anyone WHO IS FUNNY!!!! Then I'll stay tuned.

The show was so terrible I actually cleaned my house while it was on, coming back in only for the acting awards. The E show leading up to the program was a lot more fun.

There were no interesting thrilling movies this year and definitely no fabulous beautiful winners or nominees to watch. All the winners were foreigners we don't know and alot of the stars were older and/or ugly instead of young and beautiful. We watch for glamour and beauty and it was lacking

The shows that were up for nominations were not ones that anyone would want to see. To the high falutin' critic, these shows were excellent. To the normal, average, everyday movie goer (like me), these movie genres are curiously unappealing and crass. I want to be entertained during a movie, not have to come out with a chip on my shoulder and second guess history. Also, celebrities are no more deserving of any extra kudos than any other profession. Hollywood's belief that they can affect our politics is also annoying. They are actors for crying out loud; leave the important stuff to the people who know what they are talking about!
Thats cause no real A Listers were nominated for anything this year besides maybe George Clooney Who Lost all the major categories were won people NO ONE heard of… P.S No Country For Old Men should have been called NO MOVIE FOR YOUNG PERSON boring piece a crap…

To be fair, it was a pretty boring Academy Awards this year. I kept waiting for it to get good…never happened.
Well, it's the first time all the films nominated were in fact all quality films. So maybe there is a correlation there. AMERICA IS DUMB, DOESN'T LIKE GOOD FILMS, WHICH MEANS, DOESN'T WATCH THE OSCARS. Simple as that.
I'm not surprised. The general public is just so disenchanted with celebrities anymore. The "news programs" dedicated to the daily celebrity happening, the multiplicaiton of tabloids, hell, even CNN covers the breakdown of Britney Spears. It is just categorical overload.
