Her little sis, Jamie Lynn Spears has gotten her high school diploma!
The pregnant sixteen-year-old passed the GED exam last month and apparently scored pretty well on reading comprehension. She is now looking to take the ACT college entrance test.
Once she pops the baby out, let's hope that academia wins out over partying or popping out more babies!

I was homeschooled through high school and had to get a GED in order to go to college, and it's not exactly difficult. If reading comprehension is the only thing she scored "pretty well on," bitch needs a tutor.
That said, at least she's doing something to improve her life. Hopefully she won't struggle with mental illness like her sister.

Even though it is only a GED at least it is something. And personally everyone who thinks you can't be a mom and continue your education are ill-informed. I was a teenage mom well over a decade ago. I finished high school and earned a BA as well, while being a mom. If you ask my child I never compromised being a parent, but I learned to balance my time and studies and I continue to do so while balancing parenthood and a job. If you cannot balance your time between more than 1 thing, you need time management classes.
People can graduate high school without learning to read. You retards act like a high school diploma is a freakin' PHd. But, I guess if a HS diploma is the only one you get, you are probably pretty proud of it…

I think it's a shame that so many of these TV stars are being pulled out of school to make a TV career in the first place. Here in the UK, dropping out before 16 isn't allowed so those who work in TV and entertainment have tutors and teachers on the sets to keep them somewhat up to speed and most of them have to take a good 6 months off when it's exam time to get through it all, then when they're done they can put everything into TV if they wish.
I'm sure the Spears family could have afforded her to be schooled privately at home during her TV time.
Having said that, I think it's good that she has returned home, taken a course and got some grounding and some focus.

The GED exam is a sophmoric level exam. It's very easy, actually insanely easy and if you don't pass, you're a dumbshit. It isnt a high school diploma. A person who has a highschool diploma actually finishes 12 year of consecutive schooling in real classes. People who are A. Lazy B. Have severe personal issues such as a parent dieing and having too miss to much school. or C. Is actually not smart enough to pass requied classes. Is a high school diploma really all that much better than a GED? Sure, to get that coveted diploma, you had to bust your ass through the rigors of Home Ec and two periods of weight training, but when it really comes down to it, neither the GED or the HS diploma will get you shit when it comes to jobs unless you actually attend some form of college. Although, pretty much any legitimate academic college (except for, perhaps, East Bumblefuck State U) requires a high school diploma….95% of all colleges may accept GED students, but 95% of most colleges are the equivalent of University of Phoenix or your local community college. However, if you're looking to get into a trade (which is not a bad option and are generally well-compensated) then I don't think the GED is a bad route to take.
All these young entertainers were not meant to be smart and plus, a REGULAR AMERICAN high school diploma means nothing…UNLESS you're on the GIFTED TRACK.

I had to get a GED because I was sick and missed the last two years of high school. I did all my credits early and I was one only damn credit away from graduating, although I had missed two years. I was not going to waste an entire year for one class, so I got my GED. So fucking what?! I'll be making more than all these bitches once I finish up my grad degree!
