A spokesperson for the Academy Awards is speaking out about why Brad Renfro was omitted from the Oscar's "In Memoriam" tribute.
“It was really an editing decision because we can’t fit everyone in,” says a rep for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. “There was no specific reason.”
Is that a good enough excuse?????

It is a horrible excuse. They showed more than one shot of some people and that could have easily been cut down. What was their excuse for leaving out Roy Scheider? That is an even worse omission!
Hmmm…it's a bit of a kick in the face but it's probably because he died of a drug overdose. I guess the academy didn't want to show the memory of someone who used and abused illegal drugs and killed himself because of it..I mean, that's the only reason I can really think of…But who knows. Who cares. They DID come up with a pretty lame excuse though.
