Remember those cocaine charges Bobby Brown was facing???

Well, by some miracle of God, the bad boy was just spared any jail time!

The beleaguered singer has agreed to do one year's community service in Brockton, Mass., in lieu of facing life behind bars.

Apparently, the judge thinks Bobby can best make amends mentoring children and young adults in the violence-plagued city.

Ha! Ha! HA!!!!!

“It’s something he wants to do anyway,” says his lawyer.

Yeah, just about as badly as he wants to get his ass waxed!

Brown’s community service should begin within the next couple of months. It sounds like the perfect premise for yet another reality TV show…unless he starts to give the kids cocaine.

That's a possibility too!

      brockton isnt that bad. although, once i was walking home at 10pm in baggy jeans and a hoodie, and some guy thought i was a hooker. and brockton smells like cat pee. other than that, not totally awful.

      This is one disgusting-looking and lazy human being. Disgusting because…he looks it. Lazy because why hasn't he continued his singing/dancing career?!! I saw a video of one of his songs some years back, and it was very entertaining, he is an excellent dancer, very appropriate singer. Lazy. And disgusting-looking.

      I'm from Brockton. Man, if I was a celebrity I would be soooooooo pissed if I had to return to Brockton this much. The city's no South Central LA, but yes, IT IS violence-plaqued. It's drugs; isn't it always drugs? And BB is proof that no bank roll can keep one safe from their curse. (Not that his bank roll is that fat or that one can't throw a rock in Hollywood and miss a drug-addled celeb.)

      I live in a small town in Washington state and anyone who doesn't believe that money buys justice is fooling themselves. There is a very rich family living here with three sons who are constantly in trouble for drugs, countless DUI's, wife beating, one son was even caught distributing kiddie porn. But the scion of this midas rich family has connections and he is a CEO of a very prominent computer empire, so his adult kids are never held accountable for their actions. Late last year when one son went to court he had so many defense lawyers on his team they nearly filled one half of the courtroom. The whole town is disgusted with the legal system and the police who appear to be very obliging to this family as they are to several other rich families with horrible sons who have homes here and summer vacation properties. Money truly buys everything and it always will.

      I spent the first 18 years of my life in Brockton. Yes, it has its problems with drugs and violence, but doesn't every city have these same problems? As much as Brockton prides itself on being the "City of Champions", our own newspaper and media outlets bash the city for its drug epidemic and strings of murder. Change has been in order for a while, but obviously has not been easily achieved. One thing is for certain, Bobby Brown is adding NO value to the city of Brockton or its "troubled" youth. God Bless those poor kids he mentors!

      Thank you for actually saying something intelligent. I've lived in Brockton for over 20 years. Brockton does have it's problems, but it is not a "VIOLENCE-PLAGUED" city as Perez states. It's a large city with violence. It is unfortunate and upsetting about the recent crime that has erupted in Brockton and the city is desperately trying to fix and patrol more. Just the other day Brockton arrested dozens. We are setting up our police force and we will hopefully turn around our city. Calling it violence-plagued is ridiculous and unnecessary… almost as unnecessary as having Bobby Brown mentor our youth.

      Unfortunately, Perez stooped down to the level of The Enterprise & the Globe. Instead of smashing Brockton why not mention it's positives… Like having Brockton High School being picked as a model school for THE COUNTRY.

      Brockton is bad but it's not that bad and it's no where as nice as the other city and towns around it. i'd be more afraid of Hepatitus than getting shot.
      there is one amazing thing about brockton; for some DELICIOUS italian food you gotta go down to Georges cafe! the sauce is amazing and i could drink the parm pep dressing by the bottle. on tuesdays they got this special where you can get a pound of pasta, sauage and meatballs with chicken cutlets and garlic bread for like 12 bucks!
