Actors dont have any business discussing politics as they are not experts in economics, foreign policy, health care, national security, fair trade or any other political issues. I'm glad she kept her mouth shut-actors should stick to acting and perhaps speaking about their non-profit organizations of their choice. Their opinions on politics should never be in discussed in any public forum.

    that's not a stupid thing to say. maybe she's just tired of talking to all the idiot americans walking around talking about politics when they actually don't have a clue.

    it's not always good to talk about politics, it is easy for people to get angry or annoyed and start fighting about. when it isn't necessary bc everyone is entitled to their own opinions, just some people are more educated.

    i often avoid talking about politics, not bc i'm not educated or interested…just to avoid pointless arguements. esp for her, i mean, why the fuck would she want to get into a political arguement with someone who stalks people for a living?

    she is not necessarily saying that she doesn't involve herself in politics, asshole, she may be saying that she chooses not to voice her opinions publicly. believe me, i would prefer it if celebrities who often have NO idea what they are talking about weren't around ever corner telling me their opinions on everything and trying to change my mind…. they are unqualified and it is not their job.

    and even if she was saying she doesn't get into politics, so what? not only is she a busy woman, but some people simply either can't understand them or get discouraged by the state of things and think that the system is already so corrupt it is beyond repair. it is hard to see people like that, but it is common, and it doesn't make her an idiot.

    She's an actress, and unlike other celebrities, she doesn't feel the need to disclose her political beliefs. Just because she isn't endorsing candidates on her blog doesn't make her an uninformed non-voter. Her influence as an actress shouldn't be in the political arena anyway. Perhaps she learned that lesson from Jane Fonda.
