Thats not idiotic. Actors dont have any business discussing politics as they are not experts in economics, foreign policy, health care, national security, fair trade or any other political issues. I'm glad she kept her mouth shut-actors should stick to acting and perhaps speaking about their non-profit organizations of their choice. Their opinions on politics should never be in discussed in any public forum.

As long as you live in this world, it's in your best interest to have some sort of political stance and opinions, to realize your own role in maintaining the way society is governed, isn't it? I mean, I admit, politics and politicians can be ridiculous, but it's up to us to make it less so. Anything else is a cop-out on life and your fellow citizens.

and even if she was saying she doesn't get into politics, so what? not only is she a busy woman, but some people simply either can't understand them or get discouraged by the state of things and think that the system is already so corrupt it is beyond repair. it is hard to see people like that, but it is common, and it doesn't make her an idiot.

Just because she isn't endorsing candidates on her blog doesn't make her an uninformed non-voter. Her influence as an actress shouldn't be in the political arena anyway.
