"Boozing backstage during the Oscarcast is a no-no. But if you're pregnant Nicole Kidman it's a yes- yes. She wanted white wine. She got it."

I don't believe that Granny Freeze is actually knocked up. I think she is faking it and has a surrogate carrying for her. She certainly doesn't seem to have discontinued either her hair dye or her botox, both of which are forbidden during pregnancy. Thus the white wine, too. That is especially insensitive considering her husband's substance abuse history.

It's not the case that drinking ANY alcohol harms the fetus. Alcohol in extreme moderation isn't really a huge risk. But since doctors aren't totally sure of how much is too much and it most likely varies between people, they simply recommend you not imbibe at all.

I'm sure if she had one glass of white wine on a special occasion, it's fine.

I didn't think there was anything wrong with having a glass of wine here and there when you're pregnant? Matter of fact I thought it was even HEALTHY to have one glass of red wine everyday.
