Aids has to be stopped. I hate that we can send our movie on stupid things(like paying Paris hilton to sing and act in a movie or paying to see christina Augerila baby) but we can't put that money towards things that matter. Wake up people we need to start caring about the people around us. keep in mind that it may be that the new cases may have increased because more people are getting tested or that there may be new rules about making the data available. So, in other words, it may not be that the cases are increasing at an alarming rate, but rather that the data is newly available.

As far as an update on AIDS is concerned, AIDS was developed by the Navy in 19l2. The specific doctor that developed it was a doctor by the name of R.M. Donner. The initial AIDS research was financed by Congress. July 1, 1969 is when they had the hearings. It was chaired by Robert Sykes. The testimony reveals exactly what they wanted - a biological virus for which there was no known immunity. They finally got it developed in 1972 and started doing experiments. The biggest experiment was in 1977/78 when they released it in Africa, which is now lOO% infected. In the United States in 1978/79 AIDS was released to the white male homosexual population through the Hepatitis B vaccine. The reason they wanted to start with the white male homosexual population was that they wanted to get it to spread very quickly, and they thought that people would not worry about it if they thought that only drug abusers or homosexuals were involved. That 's what happened. The Navy goal WAS to infect 75% of the worlds population by April of 1991. Those are from top classified government documents. What's interesting is that by the present rate of infection, 75% of the population will not be infected by the April 91 target, so what we're looking at is other ways the government may have of spreading this disease.

Communist countries have always tried to solve social problems by denying them and silencing those who disagree. It is inherent in their political ideology that the truth is whatever the state says it is. This gigantic game of make-believe is what eventually brought down the Soviet bloc and it will destroy the ChiComs as well.
And it's not merely that the numbers are much larger than reported; by denying the epidemic itself they have perpetuated their public's ignorance and misinformation which has accelerated the problem.

On a related subject:
think twice then next time you hear a global warming enthusiast claim that the problem is "so critical that we have to stop questioning it" and that "it's immoral to doubt that anthropogenic global warming is a fact".

Secondly, a cure would be great. But, the truth of the matter is, AIDS is a virus. There is not a cure for one single virus known to man. The common cold is a simply virus, for which there is no cure. Viruses are alive, have DNA, and mutate–that is why it is seemingly impossible to cure them. So, yes money should be put towards finding a cure, but we shouldn't put all of our eggs in that basket. Education is all we can do now to stop the proliferation of this disease. Sadly, you can educate people until you're blue in the face, but if they don't listen, they don't listen. It is up to us to educate the uneducated, but it is also up to them to pull their weight and protect themselves in the end.

I'm glad you cover this issue. I actually work in the HIV/AIDS prevention field doing research to find an HIV vaccine. We knew years ago that this would happen. China is the new Africa and India isn't far behind. We can't "treat" our way out of this disease, we HAVE to prevent. Check out www.hvtn.org to see if you can volunteer in your city.
