Shia Explains That Night

Good boy Shia LaBeouf was arrested late last year for being a bad boy at a Walgreens in Chicago.
Now, the Transformers star is opening up for the first time about that crazy evening that lead to his brief stay behind bars.
"That was complete and utter insanity," Shia confesses to Empire magazine. "I was an asshole, and it was a mistake I'm still completely embarrassed about. I was in the middle of a strange mind state, having just come off a three-month window of focus. I can't diminish what happened at all. But I can say this: I'm not the first 21-year-old to be arrested for a misdemeanour. There are lessons in life I need to learn, and I'm learning all of them in front of the public."
Sounds very mature for a 21-year-old!

Dude, you were arrested for public drunkeness - we know you were in a strange mind state. And what the devil is a "window of focus?" The boy's a BS master, I must say. Don't worry about it, Shia, whooping it up at Walgreen's is pretty tame compared to the DUI/Rehab crowd. He is just the cutest thang, however, although I wish he'd picked up a pack of double-edged Good News razors while they were arresting his sweet little ass.

On his looks: Not classically handsome, but he has a certain "something" that makes him appealing. I agree with above posters who say he has the potential to grow into his looks.

On his talent: I hope he lives up to his promise and potential - I first saw him in 'Bobby' and then in 'Disturbia' and 'Transformers' (I didn't see any of his earlier stuff). I thought he made the most of his one-dimensional characters in Bobby and Disturbia, and he made Transformers bearable for me (I usually hate CGI-heavy films with a passion). He has nice screen presence, and with the right directors, he can do very well. The 'Y' project sounds especially interesting. Time will tell…..
