After being pulled out of Afghanistan as a result of a few reckless journalists publicly disclosing his location, Prince Harry is safe and returned home on Saturday.
His father, Prince Charles, spoke to the media about his son's deployment.
He said, "As you can imagine it's obviously a great relief as far as I'm concerned to see him home in one piece. I feel particular frustration that he [Prince Harry] was removed unexpectedly early because - apart from anything else - he had been looking forward to coming back with the rest of his regiment. I've been incredibly proud of Harry and I promise you, equally proud of all the dedicated service given by all our armed forces."
Harry did not speak to journalists upon his arrival at RAF Brize Norton earlier today.
Military officials have said he will not be sent abroad again for a while now.
How long until he's back on the party scene????

The thing is, he actually wanted to go and fight. Rather than whore around and get coked up like the celebutants over here, he actually wanted to DO SOMETHING. It is a shame that the story was blasted everywhere because I believe that he truly wanted to do something, and be something more, just like his mom. Some people are content just having money and freedom to do what ever, but others need to add something to this world-too bad it got ruined for him.

With all the bad press he was getting a while back, this was a spectacular PR stunt. A mysterious press leak, and he's back home into the arms of adoring fans. What a shame that he couldn't serve the same amount of time as his comrades. Those poor slobs have to serve out their time and continue to be in danger. Glad to see he was there, but I'm sure the royals had something to do with his coming home.

Yeah…the man's made some mistakes but haven't we all? I know kids in my school that have done so much worse than him and they aren't getting so much bad attention for it. I think it is despicable that some journalists couldn't honor the media blackout on Harry's mission. I am ashamed that they were American. This is no doubt a publicity/PR stunt for sure. It is all very well done except for the fact he should have cut his hair and had some tan. All the other men have shaved heads because of the heat and not washing for days. He would have looked HOT and realistic had he tanned and cut his hair. Re: Hyde – It is about the First Amendment. The royal family told the media to not tell the truth about Afghanistan so the prince could go to war. Their choice. And Drudge decided not to do it. His choice. Everyone is equal. Maybe I don't like Drudge's choice, but I will fight to defend his freedom of speech. Freedom of speech isn't just "freedom to say what the queen tells you to say." It means freedom for Ann Coulture, freedom for Michael Moore, and freedom for Drudge, whether I like them or not. Freedom for wikileaks, whether you like them or not. The security risk for the other troops was sending a celebrity into battle, whether he wants to be a celebrity or not. The queen was willing to put those troops at risk, put the mission at risk, so Harry could get some action. That was her choice. But she can't force everyone to lie just to make that choice less deadly and irresponsible. Those days are gone. The truth is on the rise. These are the days of internet sunshine and no one can stop it, not even royalty.
PS: Don't get me wrong - I do feel bad for the guy, it must suck to be a celebrity in a lot of ways. This being one of them. But I would rather have a free press than an obedient one. Even if that freedom costs the war one soldier.

Even though he was removed and brought back because a media slippage, it is still informative to remember that other countries are participating in this Middle Eastern conflict. Living in the U.S.A, we often become so America centered we don't even know what other countries are doing. How many readers actually knew that the U.K. was involved in the conflict and have soldiers in Afghanistan? To tell the truth, I never even thought about it, so I didn't consider that other countries might be there and allying with us in this conflict. So even though he got his time cut short, maybe it helps us to understand that we are not alone in this conflict.
