Re: amanda – i'm not for pot smoking, but am ever so slightly less judgmental about it… however, "narcotics" does not refer to pot smoking. if he was just acknowledging that he was a loser stoner, i wouldn't really care… but, by using the word narcotics it's fair to assume he's doing and advocating much more dangerous behavior. maybe he's running to be the poster child of the "gateway drug" theory… it's not that funny, if you ask me. maybe i've just seen too much drug abuse and damage in my life, so i don't get the joke in it all… including the so-called harmless pot smokers who stunt their entire development b/c they can't get out of their own fucking way, and can't fucking do anything without the comfort zone of being high. pot just wastes lives if you ask me- at least for people that smoke it on a daily basis. have you ever seen a successful person who smokes pot daily? okay, outside of the strange "creative" industry? maybe i define success different than you do, but i surely have seen functioning potheads- but even those functioning potheads, they've all limited their achievements b/c of the pot smoking that sucks every bit of ambition out of them. i think it's all just lame and i thought the humor went out of it with cheech and chong, or dazed and confused… it's just lame/boring/stupid/unimaginative/a cop-out, whatever. lose the crutch…

Just because someone thinks forthemselves and doesn't buy into the fear propaganda to keep the sheep in line doesn't make them a loser. Laws are based more on politics and mysticism (aka religion) than the greater good. There this thing called autonomy and I don't want the law interfering with it. The drug war is the biggest waste of tax money. Our prisons are overcrowded and our legal system bogged down with this BS. Drugs should be legal and we should tax the hell out of them. My self and many people I know dabble occasionally and we are all well employed, good people who like to have fun every now and then and drugs are fun just like a good roller coaster. The problems comes when you don't when to leave the amuseument park and that my friends is just Darwinism, the weak will be left behind. I don't dislike or judge drug users, I dislike people who have no self control and complete disregard for themselves and everyone around them. Don't blame the drugs blame a weak personality. Self destructive behavior is going to exist whether drugs are legal or not. Frankly, I am tried of living in a society that feels the need to pad all the sharp corners for the people who don't know well enough to avoid them.
