Poor Wino! The singer has an icky skin condition, her publicist has revealed!

Says her rep: "Amy has been diagnosed with impetigo which she's been told can be highly contagious. Because of that se's been put on antibiotics and may have to stay home alone for the next few days."

Impetigo is a bacterial skin infection. It causes red sores that can break open, ooze fluid, and develop a yellow-brown crust. These sores can occur anywhere on the body but most often appear around the mouth and nose.

According to many reports, Wino's back on the drugs. We have a feeling THAT might have something to do with her skin condition as well!

Looks more like bruising from the obvious dental work she had done in those other chipmunk-cheek pics. Where's the impetigo? Sounds like an excuse—I worked with a meth addict who made up stories like that to explain her sores. I hope this isn't the case because this woman is such a talent and she's throwing it away by not really trying to kick her addictions. Sad!

that big,discolored, bumpy patch on her cheek is where the impitigo is; it looks like she tried to cover it with makeup. It's not really a big deal when i was about 15 i got it on my forehead (you can get it in a cut, scratch or graze like any other infection) i just took antibiotics for a week and it cleared right up, it doesn't scar or anything and is very common.

well, if she really has impetigo, it probably has something to do with her coming into contact with someone who has it and not being hygienic. as for the bruising on her cheek, maybe she had a tooth removed although i wouldn't be surprised if she got knocked around. we've seen that before.

My sister had Impetigo on her face once as a young woman. It was a circular lesion, about 2 inches in diameter, and with a scab almost 1/4 of an inch thick. The yellowish brown crusty scab would periodically slough off and reform again. It lasted for several weeks. I was exceedingly disgusting and odious. Very obvious, and she hated to leave the house.

It's not that bad. I get it from time to time. I had it once as a baby and the virus just kinda sticks with you. It's the same virus that strep throat is. Impetigo can get pretty gross if you don't clean it and use an antibiotic cream on it frequently thru the day. She doesn't really look like that's what she has though (could be bad picture). It starts out with what looks like fever blisters or pimples and then gets more red (and sometimes painful depending on where you have it) and that's when the crust shows up… unless she's covering it with a lot of makeup and that's just going to make shit worse.

Impetigo is a type of Herpes I, like cold sores & shingles they are different then HerpesII which is genital herpes. This type of infection is seen alot in high school and college wrestling because of bacteria on wrestling mats.

Impetigo has NOTHING to do with taking cocaine. I've gotten it plenty of time on my legs because I keep forgetting to replace my razor blades regularly. It's not that bad, it basically looks like a bunch of pimples that turn into itchy sores. If you get onto the antibiotics, the sores start to heal within the week. However the sores do take forever to fade. They do eventually, but it can take months.
