Avril Lavigne has been having a very hard time moving tickets to her upcoming tour.
Well, she's still having probs with tix sales and now they're taking very costly measures to get bodies in the concert venues.
One of our prezious Canuck readers reached out to let us know that MuchOnDemand did a give away for Avril Concert tickets recently.
They gave away EIGHT tickets!
It struck and us quite odd because 2 tickets is the standard for a giveaway.
Smells like trouble to us!
Gotta fill those seats one way or another.

The concert is SOLD OUT in TORONTO. I expect that similar shows across Canada are sold out as well. Perhaps the venues are too large in the USA - much like Kelly Clarkson's experience.

I live in Buffalo, NY and just got an email from Live Nation offering a 4-pack of Avril tix for $98. That is LESS than $25 per ticket!
You can't get tickets that cheap for any event in the Queen City, let alone a "famous" celeb like Avril.

in our town, they were giving away i think four tickets, along with hotel stay/spending money/etc to minneapolis, and they were doing this in sioux falls, south dakota.

I live in Sudbury, Ontario Canada and we just had Elton John here, for the first time ever, and although his tickets were SOLD OUT within 45 minutes and people were turned away, the mayor of our fine city took it upon himself to give FREE tickets to the entire city council ( I think they got 10 or so EACH).
Additionally, 120 tickets were given to the city employees who work at the venue!
After much bullshit hit the snowy cold fan, the mayor and a few of his cronies coughed up SOME of their tickets and had a raffle for the people who were interested…71 people or so…Needless to say, free tickets in Sudbury Ontario DON'T reflect on the entertainer, just on the butt hole of a mayor!

I live in Dallas where her concert isn't til the end of April! And the best tickets available are in the VERY back of the stadium. Luckily I bought my tickets right when they went on sale : )

Re: Josh – The local radio station is always giving away free tickets for Avril's concert in Minneapolis and there are still tickets available for her concert in Minneapolis for sale online as well. The concert is on March 20 and those tickets aren't going too darn fast!!
