Those boys we wrote about last year, The Mission District, recently self-released their debut album, and we've just gotten our hands on a brand new track that will soon be added to the iTunes version.

So Over You is a synthpop confection that The Killers would love.

Hmm…..so far I like the song. But I don't know if it's different enough for me. Maybe I'll give some more songs of theirs a listen. I lean more towards "darker" sounding bands like The Faint.

Obviously nobody here plays music, because if they did, they'd realize that this band does need all six members. You'd get a hollow sounding song without more than one guitar. They're all really talented, but nobody's going to play more than one guitar part at once.
And what's with all the hate for Dave's voice? I think it's perfect for the music they play. Not everybody has to like every genre, but that doesn't mean you have to say nasty things about the people who make it. Personal lives - made up or true - have nothing to do with the fact that these guys are great live and that they've worked really hard to get where they are. And there was definitely no label pushing them on Perez.
If you don't like them, then don't listen to them. It's as simple as that. But if you recognize good music when you hear it, then keep on supporting. Thanks again for sharing your opinion Perez!
