American Idol contestant David Hernandez can sing…and strip!
Hernandez's old boss at Dick's Cabaret in Arizona totes sold him out on Monday.
According to his former employer, the Idol finalist appeared fully nude and performed lap dances for the club's 'mostly male' clientele.
"He had the look and the type that people like, so he made pretty good money here," said Mr. Boss Man of David.
It's not clear whether a history as a stripper could disqualify someone from the competition. BUT, just a few years ago, our beloved Frenchie was kicked off the show just for having some racy pictures.
THIS is a lot worse than that!
Fox, which airs Idol, has yet to comment.
Last week, Hernandez was praised by the judges after his performance of The Temptations' Papa Was a Rolling Stone.

I am from Phoenix and have been to a couple of strip shows. Most of the dancers claim to be "straight," but watching them do their lap dances really makes you wonder. They have to make the $ so that involves being convincing to the clients. That is part of their act. They usually grind on the guys (usually old ones), let them grope them, kiss and even let them lick their naked bodies, which is pretty gross especially when they have been drinking and some have cigarette breath. Eww.

The site that Frenchie's pictures appeared on promoted "underage" and "barely legal" girls. I doubt any of them WERE actually younger than 18, but that was the problem — that she had a business relationship with a website that advertised what would legally be child pornography (i.e. if the girls were underage). So, in that regard, Frenchie's offense was worse.

I went to high shool with David, he's a great guy regardless of his past. He has always been the nicest person and has never done or said anything to hurt anyone. He obviously has a lot of talent and should be judged based on that. I realize this is a singing competition to find a good role model for today's youth…but seriously!!!!

It's not like he was necessarily hiding it… I don't think the first thing someone says when they walk into the room of an audition is, "Hello, my name is David, and I have stripped for gay men before." Though, I agree, there have been plenty of previous contestants on Idol that have been removed from the competition because of similar issues, so it wouldn't really be fair to those prior contestants to now let this guy stay on the show.
