Sum 41 has another "change of venue"!
As we reported yesterday, Sum 41 and it's frontman Mr. Lavigne, formerly known as Deryck Whibley, had to cancel their show at a 7,000 capacity venue in Canada and move it to a much smaller location, holding just 1,200.
Now, ANOTHER venue change has been made for an upcoming show this weekend.
According to their concert listings online, "The Sum 41 concert, with special guests Die Mannequin, Social Code and Sound and Fury, previously slated for The Cunard Centre, Pier 23 on Saturday, March 8th has been moved next door to Heritage Hall, Pier 21 (1055 Marginal Road) on the same day. The tickets for The Cunard Centre will be honored at Heritage Hall, Pier 21."
The concert was moved from the Cunard Centre holding over 4,000 people to the much smaller venue at Heritage Hall fitting only 660!

They've also had to cancel two concerts, formerly on sale at Ticketmaster, at the Hamilton Convention Centre in Hamilton, ON and at the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, SK.
Sucks for Sum 41. Blame it on Avril!

Recycling lyrics for your "new" songs doesn't get you anywhere. they're definitely regressing as musicians and no one is going to stay interested. I know I'm not interested anymore. Not to mention they lost BASICALLY the main talent of their band. Dave had killer guitar playing skills but he moved on to better things, reguardless if it wasn't bigger than Sum 41
Avril made herself hated by so many people because she said in her interview that anyone who hates her are losers. I think she is the major loser for even making that stupid comment. Everyone thinks she is just plain rude, stuckup, and childish for wearing those stupid skulls and dying her hair pink.

Everyone's so quick to blame the artists. Its funny how most people are unable of thinking beyond the level of artist. They were scooped up and manufactured and marketed by huge media companies. When the consumer gets bored (which is pretty fast in the 12-25 age group) they cut manufacturing and marketing. The record companies dont "want" you to like them anymore because they chose something bigger and better and newer for you to "think" you like…idiots!!!

They were initially slated to play the 10,000 seat (approx) arena in the fall but cancelled supposedly due to derek injuring his back. Coincidentally, tickets weren't really selling. Suspiciously interesting.
why would they have even put them in that venue to begin with….it's a small city, i can't imagine them filling a 100 cap. club there. in toronto they are only playing a 2400 cap. club….why, no one cares.
what is sad is perez's obsession with these two. at much as i dislike avril and sum 41…. perez takes to top award for tosser of the year.

Advil (spelled wrong on purpose) Lavigne is just like her music. Boring and it makes you sleepy. She's been recording the same song now for 5 years, plus she's a beyotch. Sum41 had the world on their shoulders and should have never been out public of circulation. This probably why one of Sum41 left the group. But Advil, being all of the aforementioned snips, is also a younger version of Jessica Simpson. Advil is a human dream and career killer. Just ask her record company and Nick Lachey. Note that the only thing he has going for him is fine ass Vanessa and even that has seemed to reach it's peak.

i say it once, i say it again…. its because they don't care about their fans!!! i said this yesterday… they missed 2 shows in london ontario. the one show they just didnt show. the opening act had to play for over an hour in hopes that they would show up. the poor band got booed off because everyone was waiting for sum 41. we all had to come back the next day because they were hung over and missed their plane. They also currently have a london to make up because they cancelled. its horrible.

maybe they're just doing really well in the UK, but i saw them here on Sunday and they were awesome!! The venue was packed.
I heard that as of this week the Halifax gig sold 250 tickets. They would have done better playing a bar.

Sum41 were always walking that fine line between respected and embarrassing and now their reputation has really gone down the shitter.
Now that he has shown how pathetic and shallow he truely is by getting with Avril Lavigne there is no doubt that his band was in fact a bunch of posers, just like his wife. Sad really as they were quite talented compared to most pop punk bands.
