The organizers of the UK's Isle of Wight Festival are pissed off at Lily Allen for backing out on them.

Lily was supposed to play the June fest but has cancelled. The reason given???

Her new album is behind schedule, according to the promoter, John Giddings, in an interview with the BBC.

Allen's spokesman declined to comment.

Giddings had some choice words for Lily, though. He stated the album delay was "not an acceptable excuse" and questioned whether he had been given the real reason for her absence.

"I read in the tabloids a load of different reasons," he said. "Unfortunately this country has developed some great new girl singer songwriters, but they seem to be having a few problems don't they?"

Giddings probs didn't get the full truth. We just reported that Allen is supposedly undergoing treatment for depression.

She's on a "holiday." Wink wink.

The money that would've gone to Lily is going to be put to good use, though. Giddings will spend Lily's pay on making the festival more eco-friendly!

      Cut her some slack she just lost a baby. It is hard to deal with after being so happy knowing you have a new life growing in you and you can feel that and your love grows for that child and there is such excitement…. But then something happens and something goes wrong and you loose your baby. Of course she is going to be depressed… anyone would be unless they were cold hearted.
