No, its not nudity or excessive violence that needs to be remedied.
The strobe features in the vid need to be fixed cause they could induce seizures!
Stuff airing on TV needs to pass this thing called Harding Test, which was established to prevent TV images from triggering epileptic seizures. The video for Run failed that test!
Gnarls Barkley's Danger Mouse says he's hopeful the situation can be resolved shortly.
"I don't know exactly what's going on, but we're having issues. I think [the video] is cool. It works for me. But I'm not necessarily that easily seasick," he says with a laugh. "We can't predict how people are going to interpret it."

I have epilepsy and just watched it, without seizures. I guess I didn't interpret it the correct way. The song fucking sucks though. Pretty sleazy way to get publicity though. Maybe they should stop trying to be like terrible combination of Weird Al and Pokemon.

I appreciate their choice in not showing it. I have epilepsy and have had a seizure induced when I was 12 by playing video games. I'm no longer so sensitive, but that was my first grand mal. I hadn't yet been diagnosed and was not on medication. Seizures can be very dangerous and are more and more common today. Especially in children who haven't been treated yet. It's absolutely the right thing to do.
I watched it and I must say I do have a bad headache from watching it!!
This is a problem in England. It is common for American videos to be rejected because of the Harding Test. When the video is new and it's of a "hot" artist, they might re-edit it, but when it's a video for someone of no consequence, the record companies rarely make the effort. I know this becuase I work in the industry.
I have epilepsy and i have researched this extensively, and there is not actual scientific data that shows that a seziure can be induced by strobe lights. a seziure is a miss firing of your neurons. my dr even told me that there is no supportive research to show that strobe lights cause seziures.
It's not anything to laugh about. I'm epileptic and it's not easy. Although my seizures aren't triggered by flashing lights, I know many epileptics are.

AS an epileptic, I appreciate The Harding Test. I can't play video games, which I am ok with, because they make me go ditzy. I have had epilepsy for 22 years and would hate to turn on MTV and get triggered! BUT I have seen MANY movies and shows that are full of strobe effects that did pass the Harding, so if this DID NOT… it must have been CRAZAY!

My EEGs for the last 22 years support that I am triggered by strobe lights… In fact it takes an average of 1.2 minutes of strobe activity (at a range of speeds with my eyes CLOSED) to trigger an episode. I have an EEG done 3 times a year, so 66 EEGs later is scientific proof enough for ME! Tell Dr. Fields to do more research… Everyone of the people that I associate with that ALSO have epilepsy are triggered, IN SOME WAY, by the strobe effect. BE THANKFUL you are not affected…it sux!
To the poster with epilepsy who said their doc said there's no proof that strobes can cause seizures: is your doctor a board certified neurologist?Strobe lighting was part of the EEG I took that validated my seizure disorder diagnosis. It definitely caused a seizure as was shown by the EEG readout. My doc's a well known neurologist so I think his possibly more informed than the doc you saw. And epilepsy is not a fun illness and Gnarls Barkeley is/are idiots for the stupid comment.
