We really hope this is just a vicious and malicious lie and that he sues them for spreading untruths.

We really really really hope it's a lie, but….

The National Enquirer is reporting exclusively that beloved Dirty Dancing and Ghost actor Patrick Swayze is dying of cancer and has only five weeks to live.

WTF????

Please say this isn't true!!!!

Let us all pray his publicist issues an immediate denial because this is just awful and sad and we can barely type this because we're crying so much.

Patrick is only 55 years old!!!!!!

The Enquirer claims that for the past month he’s been getting radical treatment at Stanford (they have a major cancer center), and flying up there in his private plane.

According to them, the cancer is in Swayze's pancreas and has quickly spread. The treatment does not seem to be working.

Please be WRONG!

And, if they are not wrong….

Let us send positive energy Patrick's way so that he is not in pain and to his family so that they remain strong during this most excruciatingly difficult time.

Heartbreakingly sad!

I'm an oncologist. Unfortunately, this short timeframe is too often what happens with pancreatic cancer, also exemplified by Michael Landon. If this is true, all best wishes for him and his family of course. If this is not true, well, the media continues to disgust of course. But, this is the silly National Enquirer, right?

My Daddy died of pancreatic cancer just a month ago. Unfortunately it's a VERY aggressive cancer with very little survivors. By the time pancreatic cancer is discovered is is often too late to do anything about it.
Hope this isn't true. I'm not really a fan of Patrick but I do not wish this horrible disease upon anyone.

Can't be true. People suffering from terminal ailments are not allowed due to Federal aviation rules to pilot a plane. They could suffer a stroke or something similar and crash killing people on the ground.

that totally blows. pancreatic cancer is very aggressive, and even if they find it in the first few weeks, you usually expire in weeks, not months. god bless that guy.

I hope it's not true too, but age has little to do with cancer. My best friend of the last 35 years is dying of brain cancer, and she is 45. My Mom died of cancer at 57. Cancer doesn't care about age.

Having just lost my mother-in-law last month to cancer, I can only say my heart and prayers and well-wishes go out to everyone inflicted with and fighting this viscious disease, as well as to their loved ones. The ravages of cancer are unspeakable. After seeing what I saw, if I found out I had cancer, I would without hesitation, have them give too much morphine once I started the slide. It is inhumane and grotesque what we force people to suffer through - with their families watching.

If this story is false, there are no words to describe the hideousness that is the National Enquirer, and I would hope such a cruel falsehood closes their publication for good. And, on that note - F*** OK magazine, too, for making up that story about Eric Dane's "battle" and his wife's "heartache" over his "fight" against "cancer," when it was just him having a few precancerous cells burned off his lip. Thank GOD Eric himself said they completely blew it out of proportion, didn't have his authorization and it humiliated him. Because, real cancer is worse than imaginable.

A source told the New York Post that the Dirty Dancing star was underwent a serious “gastro-intestinal procedure” at Stanford University Medical Center on Saturday.

His spokesperson added that the unspecified treatment went well and he is now “home and happy”.
