But can he sing???

We're about to find out!

Mario Lopez is joining the Broadway cast of A Chorus Line starting April 15.

He will be playing the role of Zach, the demanding director.

Wait one minute! A.C. Slater is playing Zach!

"Every actor dreams about appearing on a Broadway stage. I have as well, and have been searching for the right time and opportunity," says Lopez. "A Chorus Line is a legendary musical and I am so honored to have been chosen to join the amazing cast and be a part of the Broadway family."

Lopez will be in the show through September 7.

Mario is giving Ryan Seacrest a run for his money!

How has he been able to squeeze in Chorus Line rehearsals in between hosting Miss America, Extra and America's Best Dance Crew?

He's come a long way!

Update: Mario Lopez will not be singing solo in the show. The role of Zach requires rockin' some tight pants, though! Lopez excels at that!

      I was an extra on Saved by the Bell - Hawaiian Style, and I got to know the cast really well. He was the ABSOLUTE NICEST GUY IN THE WORLD!

      He invited me to eat lunch with them all three sayd I was on set.

      I met Mario Lopez on Coronado beach in downtown San Diego.. he was pretty nice. He took a picture with me, and with my friend and her baby. Looks like he probably called the paparazzi in to take pictures of him though!
