THE NEW YORK TIMES WRITE A SCATHING ARTICLE ON OBAMA??! Puh-leeze. They are very much in bed with the Clinton family and you should know that. Educate yourself and stop believing everything the media says. Seriously. Look at the numbers. Who can win against McCain? Obama. My entire family is Republican, save me…and MY ENTIRE family is voting for Obama and would rather die than elect Hillary. If Hillary runs…McCain wins. Get your facts straight and do something good for the Democratic Party.

  39. #39 - Please says – reply to this

Perez, you attempting to sound smart while talking politics is as absurd as Britney talking about shampoo.

Give it up. Stick to things you know. Like talking about how you've got an exclusive source about Castro's "death" last year.

  40. #40 - jamine says – reply to this

    AN OPEN LETTER TO PEREZ:
    Dear Perez,

First of all, many presidential candidates have little to NO experience in Washington–take a look at George Dubya for example, Ross Perot, Ralph Nader, Jesse Jackson… the list goes on and on and on. I think it is important that we read between the lines a bit–on what is propaganda and what is not.
The New York Times is from well, New York, and so "claims" Hilary Clinton. Many people from New York support her and therefore it is no surprise that the newspaper has an article opposing Senator Obama.

This is a stretch, but I hope for the sake of the world, that people who read your site, watch Fox News, or neither–will be smart enough to choose the candidate with the best MORAL character. Anyone can learn to find the washrooms in the White House, but not everyone can learn to be a good person. Becoming a good person and the practice of such is a long process, one which the United States cannot afford to take place while a president is in office.

It is clear that Clinton, McCain, and all of the other Capitalist-Opportunists who are incidentally running for presidency lack this vital quality.

  41. #41 - OHOKAy says – reply to this

What the hell is your problem with him JACKASS because he actually winning ! America does need another Clinton in the whitehouse oh and learn to spell dumbass

  42. #42 - Terrie says – reply to this

This article is the definition of "hatin". It definitely has an agenda and its not to inform, its to deflame and persuade. Nice job, Hills.

  45. #45 - MOI says – reply to this

Obama, is so arrogant. He does not care about America!!!
BTW, Hillary has been looking hot lately. I would turn lesbo for her. Also, I like how she marched in the gay prade when she was first lady.

  46. #46 - jamine says – reply to this

    CONTINUED…

As a person of power in the internet-media (that's you)–innocent to the corruption and propaganda occurning in the mainstream media–I seriously urge you to not make light of the current situation in the United States. Men and women are dying everyday due to apathy and ignorance. I say this because the current government has far too much power and is using the fact that people are ignorant to its advantage.

Be a person for the people Perez and inform us about what is real and what is important. People for some reason listen to you, so do the right thing.

    Thanks.

  47. #47 - Ginnifer Flowers says – reply to this

Hillary can't keep a man happy, how will she keep a country happy?

  48. #48 - Mark says – reply to this

Obama is a tough sell. He doesn't have much on his record and I think as a country we need to realize that. As a democrat, I would much rather see Hilary in office, then McCain before Obama…

  49. #49 - baracko says – reply to this

hillary is a lying sneaky bitch. she will not do anything substantial as president. this just shows she's probably paying the new york times to cut obama down, which spells trouble for the democrats and the party. if she keeps going on like this, mccain will be our next president.

  50. #50 - peggy says – reply to this

I don't consider this article critical at all. I think it more described how he did things differently than other senators in the past. I think you want it to be critical, Perez. I find it very informational.

  51. #51 - Alexis says – reply to this

Well of course the NY Times runs a negative article on Obama. They're in Hillary territory. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

  52. #52 - Paula Corbin Jones says – reply to this

Obama is a nose ahead. Hillary is a monster.

  53. #53 - lor says – reply to this

this country doesn't need a bitch. we need an adult.

obama is the only one capable, perez. think about it. i mean SERIOUSLY.

clinton did nothing for the gay rights progression when he was in office. he said he would -nothing happened. how is this "change" when we'd have a timeline of bush-clinton-bush-clinton presidential history? that's ridiculous -far from change.

i'm proud of what she's done for women, but she is not the president type. this country would be failing to elect her or mccain. mccain's another bush, and clinton's naive.

what has experience done? you know who didn't have experience? abraham lincoln.

    think about it.

  54. #54 - abbyb says – reply to this

Why don't you ever say anything bad about Hilary?

  55. #55 - Who Cares? says – reply to this

Either way, the Democrats will win in November gauranteed. The Republicans are nothing but lying sacks of shit and no way in hell will their candidate be elected in November.

  56. #56 - Emily says – reply to this

We understand you like Hillary. We don't need to hear you constantly bad mouthing Obama because of it. I like your website, it's funny, but you have lost a lot of my respect with your biased reporting on the elections. Did you report about Obama's victory in Wyoming? No of course not. Just stick to what your good at- celebrity gossip.

  57. #57 - sarah says – reply to this

STICK TO CELEBRITY GOSSIP, KAY PEREZ?

  58. #58 - leanie says – reply to this

Hillary is a brilliant, caring lady!!! If anything, obama is ruining your Democratic party. It is not his time!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE, TAKE OFF YOUR ROSE COLOURED GLASSES!!! UK FOR HILLARY! We laugh at you dumb Americans!

  59. #59 - Come on! says – reply to this

"“I think that since we now know Sen. (John) McCain will be the nominee for the Republican Party, national security will be front and center in this election. We all know that. And I think it’s imperative that each of us be able to demonstrate we can cross the commander-in-chief threshold,” the New York senator told reporters crowded into an infant’s bedroom-sized hotel conference room in Washington.

“I believe that I’ve done that. Certainly, Sen. McCain has done that and you’ll have to ask Sen. Obama with respect to his candidacy,” she said.

Calling McCain, the presumptive GOP nominee a good friend and a “distinguished man with a great history of service to our country,” Clinton said, “Both of us will be on that stage having crossed that threshold. That is a critical criterion for the next Democratic nominee to deal with.” (…)

She and McCain “bring a lifetime of experience to the campaign, Clinton said, while “Sen. Obama will bring a speech he gave in 2002,” stating his opposition to the Iraq war as an Illinois state senator."

  60. #60 - Marsha Dee says – reply to this

    What is Hillary hiding?
Why won't she release her taxes?
    She is shady.

  61. #61 - Come on PT2! says – reply to this

It's not that I think one candidate can't ever say this about a candidate in his or her own party. It could happen that some candidate in one's own party was obviously unsuited to be President. (Jack the Ripper. Hitler. Pick your own imaginary nightmare candidate.) If that candidate seemed at all likely to win, I think one should say say: listen, this would be a complete disaster. The reason I think Clinton's comments are out of line is that Barack Obama is not, by any measure, that imaginary candidate. Moreover, I assume that she knows this.

However, let's assume, for the sake of argument, that she actually believes that Barack Obama cannot "cross the commander-in-chief threshold." One of the most important jobs a President has is to defend the country. If she thinks that Barack Obama is not qualified to do that job, then she should not support him over anyone who can. Specifically, she should support McCain over Obama.

  62. #62 - Come on PT3! says – reply to this

That's why I think some enterprising reporter should ask her whether she would support Barack Obama if he were nominated. If she would, then she should be asked why she would be willing to support someone she does not believe is qualified to be commander in chief.

Whatever her answer, it would tell us something we need to know: either that her doubts about Obama are so serious that she would not be willing to support the nominee of her own party, or that she would support someone she thinks is unfit to serve, or that she does not believe a word she said about Obama, and is willing to impugn a fellow Democrat's fitness to serve as President because her own interests matter more to her than her party's or the nation's.

  63. #63 - ? says – reply to this

Perez, why are you playing into this foolishness that the Republicans started by pitting the Obama and Clinton supporters against each other?

    Are you a Republican too?

  64. #64 - ed says – reply to this

Hon, do yourself a favor and go make up a story about brit

  65. #65 - thsisitesucks says – reply to this

People should educate themselves before posting such baseless and misleading comments (*ie:yours regarding thsi article, perez)

Secondly, Barack Obama has made important decisions in the Senate, the NYT is busy pushing their endorsed candidate so hard that they fail to remember that Barack Obama is also a Democrat, and if Hillary loses the nomination, who are they going to support? McCain? ALso, even if they were to switch gears and support Obama, it will be too late, they way they are covering him is not journalistically fair or accurate.

  66. #66 - ME says – reply to this

Hilary isn't perfect either. As well as Mccain.

  67. #67 - anon says – reply to this

the article isn't critical at all. stop exaggerating and making mountains out of nothing - just shows you are using the same tactics as hillary. it's pathetic, if you want to show your support for her, at least don't lie to do it.

  68. #68 - Obama Girl says – reply to this

    I LOVE OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  69. #69 - raz says – reply to this

Hillarys people are trying to say that obamas a muslim. Can they not play fairly? Thats fucked up. He isnt a muslim, she knows shes gonna lose and is doing anything to make that not hapen

  70. #70 - terri says – reply to this

He is running his whole campaign on the fact that he is the only Sentor running for President that did not vote for the war: he wasn't in the Senate at the time. So his whole things is, he did not vote for something he could not vote for. His also did not vote against it. It is as bad as saying 9/11 every other word. There were lots of Sentor's that spoke out against the war but still voted to go. His record speaks for how little he did, he is just another Bush.

  71. #71 - obamaman says – reply to this

    1. Learn how to spell, fatso
    2. Why is Hillary not providing her tax records?
    3. Why is Bill blocking his donor list and list of Presidential pardons from public view?
    4. Obama is green, that's why people like him.
    5. NYTimes is biased, everyone knows that. Even their article about MCCain was inaccurate.

  72. #72 - anon says – reply to this

the above comment was for you perez.

  73. #73 - Kathleen Willey says – reply to this

NO VALUES, EITHER OF THE CLINTONS. WIN AT ALL COSTS.

    GO OBAMA!
    GO OBAMA!
    GO OBAMA!

  74. #74 - John Corrupt McCain says – reply to this

The Republican Party is so pathetic that even a black man or a woman will win over their candidate. Their party is so lame and weak that they have to vote in the Democratic Primary for who they think is the weaker candidate.
Sorry to break it to you, but if John More of The Same McCain is the best that you've got, you can forget about your party being re-elected in November. If you idiots were smart, you would've voted for Ron Paul when you had the chance.
    DEMOCRATS IN '08!!!!!

  75. #75 - Patricia says – reply to this

Perez, reading comprehension much? This isn't a particularly "critical" article. I suggest you read it again. Have someone explain all the words that have two syllables or more.

  78. #78 - WHAT?! says – reply to this

What experience did Bill have? Oh, wow. He was governor. Amazing.

Hillary was a house wife. She did nothing with health care. She had tea in Ireland.

What else did the Clintons do? Implemented Public Law No: 103-160. "The act prohibits any homosexual or bisexual person from disclosing his or her sexual orientation, or from speaking about any homosexual relationships, including marriages or other familial attributes, while serving in the United States armed forces."

Way to support gay rights, Perez.

  79. #79 - Lacy says – reply to this

Re: jill – I agree with Jill…U focus only on Hillary and the "bad" things about Obama but what about the wrongs that Hillary has done and the victories that Obama has had?! I think you need to show both sides.

P.S. 316 days until Bush is outta office!~!!

  80. #80 - Enough is Enough says – reply to this

Everyone knows the New York Times is disgustingly pro-Hillary and they will go to shameful, subjective measures to promote her which is sad because they supposedly pride themselves on objective journalism for the past 150+ years. I don't buy a load of their garbage on politics and anyone with a right mind would see how all of their articles lean toward, and promote, that feminist, corrupt and totally fake piece of vermin! Gah!

  81. #81 - You're Dumb says – reply to this

PEREZ, YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT POLITICS. STICK TO GOSSIP.

  82. #82 - Heather says – reply to this

Obama sucks! Why are so many people voting for him when he stands for nothing!!! If he wins the Democratic nomination McCain will win the election in 08. Which is sad when Clinton is the most qualified but people are being racist and voting for Obama because he is black.

  83. #83 - Lo says – reply to this

    OBAMA ALL THE WAY!

  84. #84 - Beachy says – reply to this

Face it - Obama is the most liberal member of the Senate. It would be a HUGE mistake to vote him into office. He's a nutcase. Hillary is evil. She has probably already sold her soul to the devil in order to win. She's a commie. This country can't afford the taxes it would take to fund these two's insane propositions.

Yeah - universal health care sounds good at first blush. Check out the countries that already have it. They have to come HERE to get treatment.

John McCain is an angry man. Even Republicans can't agree with him. How he got this far is baffling.

We have to choose the lesser of three evils. My vote is for McCain. National security and jobs are more important to me than paying out the ass for all the social programs these free-wheeling dems want to put in place. Democrats want citizens to be dependent on government. That's NOT good.

Citizens should be as free of government as possible. Not sucked into the "system" with all these crazy expensive hare-brained schemes they come up with. Who pays for all these "free" programs? You and I do with our taxes. And with the Dems, those taxes will go up, up up. Services will go down, down, down.

  85. #85 - Rachel says – reply to this

    Hillary has more experience…………
    being a housewife
    getting cheated on
failing at universal health care under her husbands tutelage
    carpetbagging
    hiding taxes and assets
and VOTING FOR THE IRAQ WAR!!!!

  86. #86 - Tina says – reply to this

Perez, Billary passed dont ask dont tell. And they failed in Rwanda. Have you seen the movie Hotel Rwanda? That could have all been avoided if Bill and Hillary had stepped in. What about failed policy in Somalia? Go to factcheck.org and see for yourself that Hillary has been misrepresenting her experience in national security. You also should realize that you don't know much about politics…so stick to the celeb stuff. Seriously.

  87. #87 - christina says – reply to this

Wow. People are admitting that they want to vote for a guy that folds like a cheap suit. It takes a real person to stand up for what they believe in and take a beating for it. THE ONLY PERSON OBAMA CARES ABOUT… IS OBAMA!!!!

HE VOTED AGAINST SENDING OUR TROOPS HOME, but now he's telling you that he is going to bring them home so he can get your vote. Don't fool yourself. He's a lawyer, too. All he knows is what to say to get what HE wants.

  88. #88 - Bianca says – reply to this

The irony is you will still vote for him once Hillary gives up.

Did you actually read the article? It isn't that critical, really. It shows he IS different, he ISN'T the old guard, like Clinton. Why is it bad if he's more liberal than Clinton? Democrats WANT liberals!! Why is it bad for him to stick to his guns, rather than give in to political pressure? The only negative was the immigration debate issue. Maybe he didn't participate because it was doomed from the start?!? I find it refreshing for someone to stay on their own agenda, regardless of pressure from republicans. Democrats need someone STRONG and CENTERED to counteract the whole "wimp" stereotype. If Clinton is POTUS, we will have 4-8 more years of negative yah-yahing and Kenneth Starr can come out of hiding. No more old people, their time has come and is LONG GONE! Sorry, but Clinton is exactly the same as Bush, which you will find if she comes to office. Latinos have been tricked for some reason; the Clinton's DO NOT care about you.
