I honestly cannot understand why people say such horrible things about others. Maybe, if we all stuck together instead of constantly attacking others for being different, the world wouldn't be so fucked up.

Though everyone is entitled to their own opinion, as a representitive of a state, she should watch how she says things. Though she may be opposed to homosexuals in whatever way she is, as someone who represents a large group of people, she should watch how she says certain things. Though most of you feel she shouldn't have to apologize for what she said, you should all feel she should apologize for how she said it.
I mean, if President Bush went on a homosexual bash, the people of the US would go crazy.

i'm glad she's refusing to apologize. i completely disagree with her and think she sounds like a horrible person, but she's being honest. i'm so tired of everyone apologizing for their words and feelings in the press these days. too bad if someones feelings get hurt. if people want to say ignorant things that is ok, and it is ok for us to see their ignorance or hate and to form our own opinions about them. apologizing for your real feelings only makes you dishonest.
You should be one of the first to defend free speech. She is not going to care what others outside her district feel. If she was able to go on that long, with 50 people listening to her, she was talking, unfortunately, to people that have the same views. It is up to her district to recall her or vote her out.
