The long-delayed John Lennon assassination movie, Chapter 27, featuring former hook-up partners Jared Leto and Lindsay Lohan is finally hitting US theaters on March 28th. Um, on limited screens.
The movie premiered at Sundance LAST January. It then went on to play on Russian TV and then straight to DVD in Finland and Greece.
Is there something wrong with it? Don't things usually come out on the big screen in the US before hitting TV and DVD internationally?
We smell a disaster!!!!

i actually really liked the film…great performances by both lead actors
I bought it on DVD about 3 months ago (I live in Canada). It was an okay but odd movie. Lindsay is barely in it. Any other actress could have taken the small part and turned it into something spectacular. Oh well, I guess that takes talent too.
I feel bad she's in the movie because it distracts from Jared's performance which is creepy and fantastic. It's long but worth sitting through.

While she does have a limited role in it, I think Chapter 27 is an excellent example of a movie that may not make it big, but may be worth watching. Jared Leto stars in the lead role and does some of the best method acting ever seen.

Jared Leto does an amazing job, Lindsay is not that bad either.

I saw the movie - lindsay is hardly in it, its ALL jared.
I think maybe the release is so late because its a bit controversial. all the murderer wanted was attention and alot of people believe this will give him that undeserved attention.
its a twisted movie.. a bit slow, if you've read catcher in the rye you'll recognize alot of things. its not bad, just twisted and a bit slow.

I've seen it and it's a really amazing movie with great acting from Jared.
I think it took soo long time to show it in the US because all Beatles fans thinks it is glorifying Mark David Chapman, which it's not. The movie is about the last days before he kills Lennon and shows how mentally sick Chapman was.
