Despite assurances that the show would go on….

Van Halen has "postponed" all of their concerts through April 19th.

Eddie is still sick and undergoing tests for an unspecified medical condition.

According to organizers, Van Halen, 53, who has battled tongue cancer and substance abuse, "is currently under doctors' care" and will "continue medical tests to define a course of treatment."

Fans are being asked to keep their tickets, which will be honored for when shows are rescheduled at a later date.

Is Eddie secretly in rehab????

      I love me some Van Halen and all, but how incredibly rude to expect people to hold on to their tickets until the band is ready to start their tour again. They have some big balls if you ask me. If I had tickets, I'd demand a refund immediately!!

      I wonder if he is freaking about Valerie Bertinelli's book. I just finished it - it's a good read. She talked a lot about his drug use and alcoholism. He threw his marriage and a lot away for his selfish habits.

      Are you all seriously crazy thinking he's getting treatment for something other than alcoholism? Has anyone heard that he was bombed on stage and got into fight with Wolfie at one of the shows. He started pulling the cables out of the amps and was DRUNK!!! That's what the treatment is for! Smoking doesn't make him look like that. It's the drugs. My wish is for him to kick it ONCE AND FOR ALL.

      PS: I would NEVER pay for gossip!!! No mag for Perez.

      I liked VH back in the day and thought the musicianship of VH was amazing.
      I wouldn't cough up the money for a reunion tour ticket though.
      Eddie has just shown himself to be a selfish prick.

      Eddie has cancer and they're not disclosing it just yet. And I do not think it's lung but more like pancreatic cancer. And drinking and drugging and smoking does not contribute to it. Not like I'm condoning that behavior - just before you start blaming those as factors keep that in mind.

      A friend who is neighbors in Mill Valley with some band memebers tells me Eddie was so wasted on drugs all the time during rehersals for the show he couldn't remember any of the words to the songs, also the band is supposedly only reuniting to do eddie a favor because they were hoping it would help him stay sober and because Eddie is bankrupt and needs the cash.

      my stepfather died from complications of tongue cancer. It was due to extreme alcoholism. tobacco doesn't help but the booze is really what that cancer is about.

      We attended the Van Halen show on February 20th in Ft. Lauderdale. The show was great and everyone had permasmile! After Eddie's solo he exited and Diamond Dave took the stage for his moment. We could see backstage from our seats and to our surprise, as Eddie started back on stage he stopped to headbutt a huge TV monitor! For the rest of the show it was obvious that he was WASTED! HE was stumbling around and could barely sing backup. He almost fell a few times. Also, I was surprised to see him smoking a cig! Isn't he a cancer survivor and didn't he go to rehab? Finally he threw his guitar at some poor guy backstage and knocked over all the amps as the band left the stage. Dave was just laughing at him. I kinda felt sorry for his 17 year old son. How embarassing for your 53 year old dad to be acting like a child! As a diehard fan, I was saddened to see that Eddie was not on top of his game like the others, especially Dave whose body was sick! Yummy for an old man!
