Out of Good Ideas!

Michael Bay is ruining yet another film.

The big budget, special effects-crazed director/producer is remaking the classic scary movie, Rosemary's Baby. You know…the devil made her preggers movie!

Bay's company is also remaking A Nightmare On Elm Street and previously worked on the Texas Chainsaw Massacre update.

He needs to retire!!!!

I dunno, that's what all people said about Transformers and it was a good movie, not the best but quite entertaining and the 3D effects were awesome, it was a steal that they didn't win the Oscar but anyway, my point is, being a Transformers fan, that he did a good job… I'm dying to see more Transformers in the sequel!

all movies are rip offs of other movies/storylines/plots.

Shakespeare did it, NONE of his work was original.

GET OVER IT, IT'S IN OUR HUMAN NATURE YOU FOOLS.

oh, and rosemary's baby is the scariest movie.. not BOO scary, but fuggin creepy.

It's true. All art, even great art, is derivative because creativity never takes place in a vacuum. But there's a difference between being inspired by what's come before and producing something innovative or original versus ripping-off classics like "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Birds."
Check out Michael Bay's filmography. It is a testament to his love of money more than anything else. His body of work has nothing to do with any sort of real artistic voice. Even "Transformers" is based on a line of children's toys, for crying out loud. It's money-grubbing assholes like Bay who are responsible for the decline in quality of American film making. No wonder so many people believe Hollywood is only interested in producing mindless, yet lucrative, crap.

Judging from your post, I'd say you're hardly an example of any sort of superior intelligence! What school did you attend…Whitey's Academy for Self-Deluding and Foul-Mouthed Rightards? Come to think of it, I take that back. You were probably home-schooled. Like your hero, Michael Bay, you seem incapable of forming an original thought. You express yourself in insults and flawed arguments.
Your analogy about the "Batman" movies is COMPLETELY irrelevant here. First of all, the second "Batman" movie was not a REMAKE of the first. More importantly, what people are objecting to in this thread is that Bay, thanks to his utter lack of creativity, has to vandalize classic films in order to find an audience. It's like painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa. It's a disrespectful and desperate bid for attention. Sadly, dimwits like you will happily fork over your dollars to view this kind of drivel.

WORST IDEA EVER ! ! ! It's a film classic that should never be touched. Noone can outshine Mia Farrow's and Ruth Gordon's amazing performances!

They have to re-make classic movies and add cheesy special effects and loud music in order to attract the generation of idiots today…God forbid they re-run the classics and the youth actually step-back in time….EVERYTHING today including music is so dumbed down to cater to the dumbed down generation!

Michael Bay is a loser with no imagination…thousands of good scripts floating around Hollywood and this selfish, talentless hack has to butcher our classics, which were perfect as is…he's also going to rape Rear Window…puke!

      Re: shut up idiots
Tim Burton…now there's a director with vision and a real sense of purpose. He does Hollywood-style eye candy with fantastical, enchanting charm, yet with a personal, moral sensibility. I don't like everything he's made, but I always respect him. Michael Bay, OTOH, is below contempt.

This shit was pretty much already done. The Astronaut Wife, with Charlize Theron and Johnny Depp totally reminded me of Rosemarys Baby. But yeah they should try and come up with new ideas. But Michelle Williams would make a perfect Mia Farrow.

It stinks!I mean Rosemary's baby is a great film and every body should see the original -now plenty of lazy kids will see the remake, which is most certainly not gonna be half as good as Polenski's, and think it's a cheezy movie! Ahhhh so disapointed!
