It's the death of the "Party Houses"!
The City of Malibu has banned those big summer-long, celebrity-infested SWAGfests, PerezHilton.com has learned.
Local residents were fed up with the congestion of partgoers and paparazzi that decamped upon their otherwise peaceful 21 miles of California coast.
Under the new city law, no more than four large or commercial events may be held on a property during any calendar year. This restriction will eliminate party houses, whose sole function was to conduct events.
A permit is required for each of the four special events allowed per household. Non-commercial events and parties of fewer than 100 people are not subject to the ordinance.
“The objective here is to eliminate the party houses that plagued the City last summer,” said City Manager Jim Thorsen.
Oh, well. Don't count the party houses out, though. They'll just move down the coast!

Not only do you have celebs (and wanna be celebs ) running the beach, ( which we paid a pretty penny to own ) they also trash the beach, paps hang over people walls, get on our decks… so on and so on. I can't stand beach residents. Don't move somewhere where it's known to be a party area and then complain about something that's always existed. They ruined San Diego, and now they've ruined Malibu…such assholes.

Government coming in and telling American citizens what they can and cannot do. Telling you you can't smoke outside, you can't walk on the beach in Malibu (like they created the F*(&^*(ING beach in the first place), now if you want to have a party - you have to get permission - give me a break.
I lived in Malibu…at least until my house burned down a few months ago. You know it's not all about the rich people. It's about the other 13,000 people that live there too. We love parties and we love our beaches and everyone's welcome but it gets crazy because the paps leave their cars in the middle of the street, stake out, stalk and literally attack people and god help you if you're a normal person in their way. People that own or rent and live in their homes can have parties all they want…it's so not about locals entertaining. and yeah, I'm reading perez so maybe i'm a part of the pap problem…but life is full of contradictions.
