i saw the whole story on the news this morning. the reporter was not even on their property. she was telling their story and then miss racist white trash 2008 attacked.
You know what? ALL of then were wrong! The reporter & the family.
Race card continues to get played everyday. Doesn't it get tiresome to expect all white folks to be expected to "pay" for what their ancestors did YEARS AGO? Let it go and work on making your race better by pushing education and not handing out money for welfare, food stamps, and those girls that keep pushing out babies with no fathers.
I still can't believe that the black kids that jumped the white guy and BEAT HIM UP deserved all the media attention and Jesse and Al. I think flaming the fires continues the races to stay pissed off at each other.
I thought the news reporter was going to end up to be one of the white women, due to that running punch made the by the black woman, then realized she was the reporter who was supposedly "attacked". Why didn't she just get away from there when she had the chance and let the law intervene? Going back at them with a fist was stupid, it just made the situation worsen. She should be charged too! Punching while they are on you is self defense, standing up and running toward them with a punch after you are freed is assault. No matter what happened in the beginning.

This was not in Spartanburg, SC that this happened. I was in Union, South Carolina. Totally different place, esp. on the Redneck scale. I dont think that they attacked her b/c she was black. I think it was because she wouldnt stop reporting on them, but I think that they called her names because they are racist and they knew that it would be mean.

Sadly, this was in my hometown state… Union..which is not far from Greenville (where WYFF and the reporting News Channel are located).
This reporter was beat by some racists that didn't like her reporting on public ground. Someone in their family was murdered, and the reporter, doing her job, was there to cover the story. And the victims family, instead of being grief stricken decided to brawl. Yep, good ol folks who said many racists comments and to both the reporter and her crew who were black. Unfortunately, SC does not have a hate crime law so not sure what charges will come for their comments, but they are charged with assault.
Long story short…. some people stuck back in the times attacking a reporter on public grounds… obvioulsy not concerned with their family member that was murdered… but instead being a bunch of haters.

If they were so upset with her filming their house, then why didn't they attack they all white film crew that were there as well? You know the ones who just happened to get the fight on film?
She, out of respect for that inbred family, even filmed from across the street. The point is, they were in no way justified for their actions. Maybe if the mother tried disciplining her son instead of worrying about scoring that meth, their grandpappy would still be alive!
