Not On Our Watch, a charity co-founded by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle, has donated $500,000 to the United Nations World Food Program.
The money will help the U.N.'s food aid agency to prevent hunger in the troubled Darfur region of Sudan.
In a statement, Clooney said, "Without immediate additional funding, humanitarian aid in the region will be crippled."
Gorge George has become a leading celebrity advocate for action against the genocide in the Sudan after filming a documentary about the crisis last year.

That's all good but what about the children here in the US. Have you noticed these celeb's never reach out to their own country and what children here might need. Plenty of orphan children in the US who would love to be adopted by one of them. surprises me they never look at home or give at home.

The UN is the absolute worse charity to donate money to. I'll never forget during the tsunami, the Americans and Aussies were down on the ground, delivering food, water, medical treatment, and building hospitals, and shelters while the UN was still trying to find 5 star hotel accommodations for their staff. Blech.

$500,000 is nothing for those four guys put together. Think about it. Clooney, Pitt and Damon each probably make $20 million per movie. So, $60 million they get paid total for "Ocean's Twelve". So, $500,000 is less than 1% of that. So, it's like you or me giving a few hundred dollars to charity. Nice, but lot of average people give a much larger percent of their income to charity and get no recognition for it.
