Not On Our Watch, a charity co-founded by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle, has donated $500,000 to the United Nations World Food Program.
The money will help the U.N.'s food aid agency to prevent hunger in the troubled Darfur region of Sudan.
In a statement, Clooney said, "Without immediate additional funding, humanitarian aid in the region will be crippled."
Gorge George has become a leading celebrity advocate for action against the genocide in the Sudan after filming a documentary about the crisis last year.
Keep it up!

That's all good but what about the children here in the US. Have you noticed these celeb's never reach out to their own country and what children here might need. Plenty of orphan children in the US who would love to be adopted by one of them. surprises me they never look at home or give at home.

actually, a lot of people donate money ad they dont need to have a press conference about it. and if you look at what he does, its not just his attitude towards his personal donations, which are paltry compared to his annual income, but towards all the things he does, from his terrible oceans movies to his womanizing reputation. face it, a lot of people hate george clooney, and for some completely legitimate reasons.

That is all well and good and I don't mean to undermine what they're doing, but how about doing huminatarian efforts right here in the USA. How many people are starving, how many are losing their homes to foreclosure? Look down in the southern states - their still waiting for homes.
