Excellent movie - but was nearly ruined by babies and small children in the audience being allowed and even encouraged by parents to talk throughout the movie like they were sitting in their own living room. I am a parent and I worked hard to make sure my child was always well behaved in the theatre or we left as to not disturb others. When I went to see "Jumper" a man behind me actually stood up and demanded that the parents remove their crying baby from the theatre. People CLAPPED! Why can't SOME people understand that everyone is there to enjoy the movie, not listen to YOUR kid!?

I really loved this movie! I haven't been this entertained in many different levels, in a kids movie since Happy Feet! Horton Hears a Who is a great movie!

I thought it sucked. they really stretched out the original story to the point where I couldn't wait for it to finish. The younger kids in the audience seemed to get bored with it. Ho-Hum. Thumbs down.

I saw it in English…(i am in puerto rico) because seeing it dubbed in Spanish with another actor was, of course, not going to be the same!.
Jim makes Horton come alive!! is Jim as an elephant!…he makes the movie, it's amazing how you can actually "picture" Jim when you see this movie.
And Steve Carrell and Carol Burnett are amazing as well.

Saw it. Loved it. Dr. Seuss (aka Theodor Seuss Geisel - RIP), Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, Carol Burnett and Jesse McCartney are what made this a hit! "Dr. Seuss" lived down the street from us in La Jolla, CA when I was a little girl. He was so nice and his wife would invite us in to listen to his stories - kind of test them out on us to see if we liked them or not. I'll never forget the time he and his wife returned from an African safari. He said that was where he came up with the idea of using those wonderful, flat Acacia trees drawn in all his books. (His books were almost like one big acid trip!) What I loved about Geisel was his tenacity. Like J.K. Rowlings, his writings were rejected SO many times. Anyway, it's so fun seeing his writings come to life on the big screen and btw, my kid's say the Who Cakes at IHOP are yummy! LOL

I saw the movie tonight, it is VERY fun, and funny, and satisfying, and I must say…although Dr. Seuss' stories are always a hit, Jim Carey DOES still have it. 100%. Great movie. And I miss you , Carol Burnett.

This is not a Jim Carrey film! It's an animated film based on a very famous and popular kids book. Jim did not have to much to do with it's success! Anyone could who has a decent voice could have done it and the movie would make approximatly the same money. Maybe even gross more, since they would not have to pay extra for a celebrity. Kids could not care less if Perez Hilton was a voice in this movie. These studios pay way to much for so called star power to voice these animated movies and it is a big waste of money. If the film is good it will do ok in the box office. The parents want good popular movies to take kids to go see. Like Shrek would be just has popular without Mike Myers has the voice!
