I lost my Grandfather to Pancreatic Cancer last year. Its so important that we do all we can to find a cure for this. Its absolutely horrible to watch someone go through this, or any type of Cancer for that matter. Even if it is only a dollar, please donate!!!!

What really disturbs me is people like Perez Hilton who just want to jump on the bandwagon whenever a celebrity (let's say like Patrick Swayze)…becomes ill and all of a sudden Perez is all about donating….Just to make him feel good about himself!.. You are a joke, You could give a sh*t about anyone other than a celebrity's disease. Remember how ALL OF A SUDDEN you asked people to donate to the LiveSTRONG campain…HELLO!…that program has been going on for years. I am a Cancer Patient and am personally offended by Perez "joining" the cause. PLEASE you don't give a sh*t about anything but gossip, gossip and koolaid in your hair! Next up you will be adopting 10 children from Africa, Cambodia…etc! Stop being so selfrightious!

My Dad died of pancreatic cancer in 1994 at 56, just 6 months after he was diagnosed. I just donated $20…

My father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003 and lost is battle in 2006. While i did have a few years with him after diagnosis its never a pretty site watching your father go from being a strong man full of life to a frail body detatched from life. It f'in sucked. I miss that cowboy.

I lost my grandmother to this terrible and progress disease at the beginning of the year. She lived with this cancer for a year before they diagnosed it. Hopefully your post will shed light on this disease and the desperate need for a cure and improvement in its treatment and diagnosis.

Regarding the person who asked about breast cancer… no offense, but more than enough is being done about breast cancer… which CAN be detected. Pancreatic Cancer has NO early detection strategy. Breat cancer is so fucking overdone and over commercialized it's ridiculous. No offense to anyone who is affected by BC, but the pink ribbon movement is just a tad over done… and barely ANY progress has been made on that disease in the last 5-10 years anyway. It's time we start looking to ALL cancers equally.

And please, don't wish breast cancer on me. It's already in my family. I just know a "scam" when I see one. Everytime I see a pink ribbon I roll my eyes… more women die of heart disease in a fucking day than BC in a fucking half year… more women die of lung cancer… and there are more skin cancers diagnosed annually than breast cancers.

It's time for the breast cancer parade to take a break so all the other diseases can get their due.

Pancreatic cancer is the 4th leading cause of cancer death in the US and not enough people know about it! Thank you to perezhilton for posting this link.

It makes me angry that people only care when someone famous is diagnosed with a disease, at the same time thank you Perez for putting the word out there about Pancreatic Cancer. My dad was diagnosed in June 2007 and passed away in January. This is a brutal disease and not enough funding is going towards it. Before being diagnosed my dad was the picture of health, 50 years old, never smoked or drank. He became sick in April of 2007 and was misdiagnosed by several doctors in 3 different top-notched hospitals before the 4th doctor diagnosed him. Early detection is the key, when Pancreatic Cancer is found in the 4th stage unfortunately it is too late.

Just a thought… I can't help but think these posts would be a bit more effective if you wrote ABOUT the charity in the post? I mean, that way people who normally wouldn't click the link, can read what it's all about and then more likely donate. Just an idea

Of course he's not going to write about the charity, it's a clickable link, meaning perez gets paid when you click on it. Same goes with those most emailed list crap. Anytime you click on a link on anyone's page, they get paid. Google ads and such are everywhere folks. If you want to read something, right click and say open in a new window.

I hope Perez comes up with some plan to have him match all the donations that his blog readers donate because he's become so rich and famous thanks to all of us supporting him that he needs to do more than just give some free blog space to a worth cause. When will PEREZ donate his money??
