She continues down her path of self-destruction!
Amy Winehouse was seen walking around London on Monday with these new wounds on her arm.
The Rehab singer has spoken openly in the past about her self-harming, which just screams out for severe psychological help as well as treatment for her hardcore (and reportedly continuing) drug addiction.
What's it gonna take before her parents or someone just forces her to get help????

This is such a waste and I don't know what kind of rehab institution celebrities go to, but with these results, they'd have better luck getting care in prison or celebrity rehab. And to think that I thought Lindsay Lohan's orangina looks and addiction to leggings was bad, Amy is in serious need of medical help.

You can't force an adult to seek treatment, Perez. Look what happened with Britney. She's still cooperating with her folks, but the second she says she's done, she can be on her own again. You always talk so flippantly about these serious issues as if life is so easy, and you have absolutely no clue. You sit up there on your high perch, pointing and stating the OBVIOUS and you never seem to realize that things are not as easy as they seem to you in your tiny little universe. You try getting a junkie to wake up and go to rehab - let's see YOU do it, hon. Until then, stop placing blame on everyone else and shut your big, fat pie hole.

you CAN NOT force someone who does not want help to truly get it. when she is in enough pain, she will get it, and i guarantee she knows where to go when she's ready for it. some can handle more pain than others, and unfortunately some ppl have to die so others can get the help THEY need. its a fact and reality.

Actually self-harm doesn't necessarily scream out the need for severe psychological help. I think taking drugs which destroy the body and brain is a lot worse. She does need help though I just saying that self harm isn't in itself that dangerous compared to other things she's done and probably does.

You cannot "force" people to get help. You can cajole, plead, threaten, beseech and whatever. Addicts need to finally believe that they have a problem with drugs. Amy got a huge pat on the back by the Grammys this year so why would she think her life is out of control? Cutting helps her relieve her internal chaos. Why would she want to stop that? She still has money, adoring fans and access to drugs, why should she quit?
Maybe the laws in the UK are different. Maybe Daddy Winehouse needs to be like Brit Brit's dad and take away access to Amy's money. That would really be the only way he could "force" her into a treatment that she doesn't want. But I bet there are many people who will be happy to supply Amy with drugs at no cost.

You can't be forced to get help, you have to want it yourself, before it actually helps. I wish Amy the best. She is an amazing singer and hopefully she'll get past this bad chapter in her life, as soon as she's ready for it. She has great things ahead of her, I'm sure.

It really annoys me when people say things like, " Why can't her family do something and FORCE her to get help?" As if her family doesn't care. Amy is an adult and NO ONE can force her to get help if she doesn't want it. There are laws on the books in England and in the USA where these people (Junkies/Drug-Addicts) are protected against such things. It's very frustrating for parents who have a child like this because they can't go to the authorities or a rehab institute and say, "Lock her her up" if she doesn't want to … even though it's quite obvious someone like Amy Winehouse needs it desperately! Sad but true, Amy's a junkie; and she doesn't know what she wants right now. The only thing she wants is to get high. This is the state her mind is in right now. Friends and family CAN force her to go in on a 5150 for a mandatory 72 hour hold, as she's obviously a danger to herself. She may get out after 72 hours, but it would be better than nothing. She could at least TRY sobriety under the care of physicians and psychiatrists who can help lessen the withdrawal symptoms.
