On Anthony Minghella

Jude Law is speaking out on the sad death of director Anthony Minghella, a friend and frequent collaborator of his.
The pair worked on three films together: The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain and Breaking and Entering.
Says Law:
"I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Anthony's untimely death. I worked with him on three films, more than with any other director, but had come to value him more as a friend than as a colleague. He was a brilliantly talented writer and director who wrote dialogue that was a joy to speak and then put it onto the screen in a way that always looked effortless. He made work feel like fun. He was a sweet, warm, bright and funny man who was interested in everything from football to opera, films, music, literature, people and most of all his family whom he adored and to whom I send my thoughts and love. I shall miss him hugely."

I never thought this pretty boy, who walked out on wife Sadie Frost and their three children, was capable of this level of decency. Wow. Jude Law may become palatable again.
Will you stop with the nasty comments. A truly wonderful eprson died - everybody who knew him has no bad words to say about him. He is an erudite down to earth person and I love him everytime they interview him about his pictures.
I feel sad for Jude. Minghella is one of his closest friends, he loks up to him as a mentor and a friend. He is such a great loss not only as a wodnerful director but because he is a wonderful human being.
