I think it is sad that they are all living apart by the sounds of things and very much in crisis no matter how much denial is going on.
When parents spit they see it as a new beginning and finally they have some closure and go forward. Often the young adult children are left in a state of limbo and are totally unprepared. The parents are excited about their new life, new relationships and even pat themselves on the back for staying together until the kids grow up.
Re: jimena – Way to go…..I totally agree. She and her brother have had a very ambiguous kind of loss that is hard to define which makes it worse. When someone dies the grieving process is much more defined and there is closure.
Her brother will live everyday of his life thinking about that accident and that is enough. No one can judge him. No one knows what he will go through every day . He seems like a nice kid and this is his cross to bear and he is doing so.

Thank you for saying what I have been thinking. He is a teenager who used terrible judgement. Everyone acts like he had the accident on purpose and wanted to hurt his friend. Just because he has had a priviledged life doesn't mean he should have to pay more of a debt to society than any other kid in his situation.

Yeah, the whole affair thing between married people is hard to take-but it is reality. It is a rare couple who stays together for life. Even the greatest loves grow weary of each other and fantasize about being with others
Many times these fantasies become real and the aftermath of family casualties is all that is left.
I am not making excuses for anyone. But parents are human too and have needs that sometimes their partner is not fulfilling.
Sometimes paretns stay together for too long for the children. Then once the kids leave, they have nothing to talk about. Often they turn to someone besides their spouse and the infidelity begins.
It is upsetting and the pain won't go away. But why let the anger ruin your life?
We all have only so many years on this earth.
Forgiveness is the best way to move forward. You don't have to forget what happened, but the act of forgiving gives everyone a fresh start.
Families of divorce, will always be families. Time moves forward and life changes.
We all have to learn that nothing is forever-so be happy.
How ’bout everybody stops being a total dick to this girl for about five seconds? Her brother may be an idiot, her father is obviously a bastard, but the worst sins she's committed are bad fashion sense and attempting to do something career wise that doesn't seem to have worked out. She hasn't done anything that lots of young women her age haven't done.
