Madonna's new album, Hard Candy, is #18 on the Amazon best sellers list for CDs, and it isn't even out til April 29th.
On the other hand, Mariah's new release, E=MC2 (out April 15th) is not even in Amazon's top 100.

2. Madonna on the other hand will appear on the cover of Elle, Interview, Vanity Fair this year. Elle is $3.99 and has a wider circulation than Allure.
Madonna is more influential than Mariah hands down. Her best friend is Gwyneth Paltrow. The media still cares about Madonna because she SELLS magazines like Britney. They may comment on her marriage or old hands or plastic surgery but Madonna commands attention.
4. If Mariah stripped down in the middle of time square and did a hand stand, the world wont give a f#$k about her. She sings amazing no doubt about it but all she has is her voice.

She's friends w/ one of my friends who is the CEO of a huge golf company. She's ADMITTED her voice isn't that great. It's all about marketing - not talent. Even though I'm a fan of Vadge's, she really cannot sing as well as MARIAH. Mariah has a Silver Singing Chords. She hits a vocal range Vadge would only dream of reaching. So if you're looking at pure raw talent, Mariah wins, hands down. Vadge is just a good business woman, which at 50, she should be by now!
