The Coop Has Skin Cancer

Oh, no!!!

The Silver Fox has been diagnosed with skin cancer!!!!!

Thankfully, he already had it treated and it appears to be minor.

Anderson Cooper revealed the news on his blog.

He says:

"On a personal note, I’ve been off for the last couple of days. I had minor surgery on Monday. A small spot of skin cancer was removed from under my left eye. I hadn’t planned on mentioning this, but I still have stitches and you’ll no doubt notice them tonight. Don’t want you to think I got into a fist fight with Charlie Rose."

Glad to know he's doing better!

First off why does someone have to come out to the public about being gay. He's never denied that he's gay, let the guy alone. No one has to hold a fucking news conference to say that they're straight.

Plus he has worked his ass off to get where he is. Yeah his family has money but it's not like he's partying in every club and not working. It's not his fault his family is one of the most established families in the world, he's just extremely lucky and he knows that.

my college boyfriend had that. they said he was fine and it was removed. and then a few months later, they found it had spread and he died from it. i don't believe they can say you are fine just because they took it off- even in one of those mohs procedures. hope he is okay in the end. it may not have been a melanoma- it could be a basal cell or squamous cell carcinoma and still spread. i sound like debbie downer- but dammit- they shouldn't say all is well when there is really no way to know for a while, and they should have him being checked with scans in a few months to make sure it didn't spread.
