Ex-Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona seems to be the closest thing England has to the Sam Lufti-era Britney Spears (we're glad she's doing better).
Katona is preggers and just checked into the renowned UK celeb rehab facility The Priory.
The work on her UK MTV reality show stopped cause she was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. SO Britney-esque!
Sources close to Katona assert that intense media scrutiny has taken a toll on the reality star.
The English press has been on her ass hard since the beginning of the year! She supposedly was doing coke New Year's eve (while pregnant) and recently, her husband was accused of cheating on her with a barmaid, who told reporters that Katona's husband admitted that he married for the money.
Kerry's spokeswhore claims, “Kerry has not suffered a nervous breakdown. She suffers from bipolar disorder and is just feeling a little down.”
This is Katona's 4th visit to The Priory.
Hopefully while she's there they'll give her a buttload of Ariva and she'll stop smoking!

I try not to judge pregnant women because goodness knows its annoying when people tell you what you should and shouldn't be doing, it's your body, but Kerry still smokes daily (admits it too), drinks, and there's no doubt she's on the drugs. After a miscarriage scare, it strikes me as selfish… but it's no surprise. Kerry Katona is just a grating person.
i feel sorry for the 3 kids she already has, this one isn't gonna turn out any better.

If this true, this woman (I've never heard of her before reading this) does not deserve to have children. IF she is so selfish as to smoke, drink and do drugs while she's pregant…that poor baby does not stand a chance. The effects are LIFELONG for that child. It should be taken from her as soon as it comes out of her. If a "normal" (not famous) woman was doing this they would not let her keep it, but because this woman is (somewhat) famous they probably won't do much.

The media build a person up (remember in her 'heyday' she was one of the original members of Atomic Kitten (girl group) and married with 2 kids with Brian McFadden from Westlife. Whilst they were never considered anywhere near the heights of Posh and Becks they were reasonably well known as a celebrity couple.
I just find the whole thing so sad. She's obviously messed up and had quite the f'ed up childhood. For those of you who are uneducated in this case, I suggest you continue reading this post. No, it is not a sure thing that every child will be harmed from cigarette smoke. Some babies born experience no problems whatsoever. It is just a possibility, so get a grip.

I'm rather indifferent about what Katona does and how she does it; but I think that her Bi-Polar disorder does have some impact on her lifestyle. I'm not saying that it is an excuse- it isn't. But I am saying that she isn't the 'British Britney Spears'.

JUST LEAVE HER ALONE TO GET BETTER! – You sound like a really compassionate person, and usually I would agree with you 100%… however, in this case it is very difficult to feel sorry for somebody who goes out of their way to never be out of the media's vision (even if that means press for bad behaviour rather than talent) and then complains about public scrutiny. That said, if she really does have bi-polar disorder I hope she gets the help she needs and finds herself in a place where she doesn't feel the compulsion to whore herself out to the press. If they'd really like to be left alone, Kerry and Brit Brit should take 6 months off and go to India or Darfur and meet some people with real problems… and then live the rest of their lives happily and privately with perhaps a smidgen of dignity.
