According to new reports, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $8 million to various charities through their non-profit Jolie Pitt Foundation.
Guess the sale of all those baby pics really did go to good causes!
San Brad contributed $4,402,317 and Santa Angelina, $4,123,613.
Their biggest donations were to Doctors Without Borders (International Division) and the Global AIDS Alliance. The couple gave these orgs $1 million EACH.
In addition to donating cash, Brad and Angelina invest a lot of TIME helping out those in need. Brad's helping to re-build New Orleans with the Make It Right Foundation and Ange travels the world with the UN to advocate for refugees.
Can they do anything else to make us love them any more?

I think it is great that Brad is making use of his love of construction into real use with such creative and useful designs. I hope he inspires this type of thoughtful construction across the country.
The fact that Angie was well on her way down this same path of giving back and placing a spotlight on issues around the globe, make them very well suited for eachother.
It is nice to see a relationship based on mutual respect and the desire to make the world a better place, and a lot of kids to love.

I am soooooooo tired of hearing about these two. All they do is flaunt that they are giving money. You're supposed to give money out of the goodness of your heart…and be humble about it…not BRAG about it. Also, they are so fake. I know what net worth is - I have a finance degree - I'm saying that donating 4% of your net worth is not worthy of the kind of praise Perez is heaping on them. Imagine if every celebrity who makes more than 12 million for ONE movie donated just ONE million every time? How hard would it be to go from making 15 million from one movie to just 14? Imagine all the press they'd get too, if they promised to donate ONE MILLION DOLLARS from any movie they made over 10 mill. That could have a big impact.
This "report" came from a publicist for all we know. The only way I'll believe these two do anything that's not pure publicity is to be shown legitimate corresponding deduction from their bank account and yes I know that won't happen. And why don't we hear about them contributing to charities for the homeless or for children in the US? Why is it always "international" charities that they supposedly give to? Saints my ass. Prove it.
I can't think of two more worthwhile causes than Doctors without Borders or rebuilding New Orleans, which most Americans seem content to let mildew into the Gulf while spending their Bush tax "refunds" (actually loans, with interest, from China, Mexico, the UAE, etc) on…what? I don't even know why we're accepting those refunds while the USA is in such a mess, it seems like the very smallest sacrifice we could make. "United" States. "Support" the troops. I am tired of this example being set by so much of Hollywood and political figures: donate some money (not a very considerable amount for them, mind you), then fly around in your private jet, wasting fuel, live your excessive lifestyle, raise your children in the same way, etc. It is really unnecessary for them to have children since their lifestyle is not conducive to raising them properly. I am outraged that they have chosen to take the fertility drugs, which have now made Angelina pregnant with two more children. Since they are open to adoption and have the resources, if they must have kids of their own, why not continue to adopt? I give kudos for them- charity is really not that hard but so many people are too distracted in their own lives that a lot of them don't do it. But this power couple really go the extra mile by not only donating money BUT making sure the money is spent well and going to events which speak out about the issues in the world. And to all those who think America needs help- yes they do, but the government is too messed up over here that nothing has been taken care of. Look at the Katrina victims and recently with the whole economy downfall. We have the money here but its going to unnecessary things-. ya, actually they can do something to make us love them more… they could take notice to the fact that the UNHCR does absolutely nothing for North Korean refugees…. allows China to repatriate them back to North Korea without due process… The Chinese are signatory to the 1951 Convention Related to the Status of Refugees which clearly states that no individual is to be repatriated back into a situation of harm- guess what? Article 47 of the North Korean Criminal Code says that escapees returned are sentenced to a minimum of 7 years in a prison camp (think Nazi Germany) OR public execution.
North Koreans are not even given the chance to apply through legal channels for legal status in USA or South Korea despite that both countries have open door policies for North Koreans. The Chinese are breaking all sorts of articles of the 1951 Convention and the UN just sits back and ignores it.
Come on, Brangelina, stop with the feel good stuff and get serious about the stuff you preach. Don't let the UNHCR just use you as puppets. Hold them accountable.

This foundation has been around since 2006. It is not their fault that the media has pick up the story. And all foundations have to make their records public which is why the numbers are mentioned. People need to know where their money is being spent when they donate to these causes. Anyway what I love about this couple is that not only do they put in their money but they actually put in their time. They pack up and go where the help is need. Too many people just write the checks and call it a day. Its when you get up and get out there to physically do the work that impresses me. Homewrecker and cheater? I don't know that ,only the three people involved know the truth and if they have all come to terms with whatever happen then I am happy for all of them. Brad and Angie have brought out the best in each other. And I wish the best for them and their family.
