Oprah's beloved Cocker Spaniel Sophie has passed away. The pooch reportedly suffered kidney failure.

She was 12 years old.

The news is especially sad for animal-lover Winfrey, whose Golden Retriever, Gracie, died less than a year ago after choking on a ball.

      Perhaps this will show Oprah that the "Universe" plays no part in what does or does not come our way. Things just HAPPEN, period. It's as simple as that.
