He calls it a "rounding off" of his career's first phase. "I don't want to do anything on this scale again," he says. "No more stadiums. I'd like to be the Tony Bennett for my generation."
The Brit's trek across the U.S. is his first outing here in SEVENTEEN years!
"It's the end of a certain era, and I'm not sure how much I really want to be a part of what's next. So, it's a kind of a way of saying thank you to everybody before I move on," he says

I saw George Michael in Finland last July and omg, he was awesome. best concert ever.
I am so excited that George Michael will be touring the U.S. I called to find out when tickets will be going on sale at the venue where I live that's on the list and they don't have a confirmation yet. George is my favourite artist! His music touches me like no others. I'm simply ecstatic as seeing him perform has been my dream for years!
Regardless of his personal tendencies or problems, he is a true entertainer, musician, songwriter and singer. His recent tour in UK and Europe proved that - I was lucky to see him in UK and he was just brilliant. I think his reference to Tony Bennet was not that he was comparing himself to being him but his style of performing, ie smaller, cosy gigs for many years to come, rather than massive arena style shows. Bless the boy, he is getting older and I would much rather see him in a lounge style show than 60.000 seater arena!
