Britney's Back….and On Top!
As we mentioned last week, Britney Spears was set to appear in the CBS sitcom, How I Met Your Mother.
And, surprisingly enough, when it aired last night, the show received its highest ratings ever!
Even more surprising, the critics liked it!
The Associated Press stated, "Britney the Trainwreck showed how she can still be Britney the Performer. The 26-year-old pop star, who previously was on a 2006 episode of Will and Grace, appeared fresh-faced and relaxed, capably filling the small role."
The Daily News stated that for "those who hang on every one of Britney's career moves, this bold casting decision worked out. Spears proved she can act every bit as well as she can sing, and with some of the nuances she brought to the character, you'd almost swear she'd been there before."
Could this possibly be the comeback Britney and the rest of the world has been waiting for?
We sure hope so!

The show is really quite good, so it's kind of a pity to see that all anyone can talk about is Britney's appearance. Sure, she was funny, but the key to the episode was the interplay between Marshall and the doctor.

I was pleasantly surprised by Britney's performance! She was cute, not wooden at all. She even overshadowed Scrubs' Sarah Chalke! As a person that has posted unfavorable comments about Britney in the past, I would like to give credit where credit is due and say "WAY TO GO, BRITNEY!"

HIMYM is one of my favourite shows. In response to her appearnce, I protested watching it. She's disgusting and pathetic.
Anyway, the people who tuned in JUST to see her were MEDIA people like Perez, and the crazy Chris Crocker types who support her. Yuck.

We all know she's a pop star because of her marketable appearance, great dancing, and PERFORMING abilities… not singing abilities. She's about as talented as Miley Cyrus when it comes to singing. I am so happy for her. She is really starting to look happy and healthy. I am routin for her all the way. BTW I watched How I met Your Mother for the first time last night and found it dry but she def added some sass to it. She def is a southern cutie amnd I agree with the cast on that show that girl does have great comedic timing. My favorite scene was the last scene with her and Doogie (he wil always be that to me). They had great on screne chemistry.

omg.. I didnt watch it on tv, but i did watch it online…I didnt think it was good at all, she was really awkward and made me feel uncomfortable.. The way she was smiling weird the whole time… I mean her character was supposed to be "crazy" but she really is like crazy..
It will be interesting to see if her CD sales rise a little, "break the ice" is a okay song and rising on the charts but "Toy Soldier" is the best song on the cd. She should go on Oprah or something and perfrom. That would be great.
