Britney's Back….and On Top!

As we mentioned last week, Britney Spears was set to appear in the CBS sitcom, How I Met Your Mother.

And, surprisingly enough, when it aired last night, the show received its highest ratings ever!

Even more surprising, the critics liked it!

The Associated Press stated, "Britney the Trainwreck showed how she can still be Britney the Performer. The 26-year-old pop star, who previously was on a 2006 episode of Will and Grace, appeared fresh-faced and relaxed, capably filling the small role."

The Daily News stated that for "those who hang on every one of Britney's career moves, this bold casting decision worked out. Spears proved she can act every bit as well as she can sing, and with some of the nuances she brought to the character, you'd almost swear she'd been there before."

Could this possibly be the comeback Britney and the rest of the world has been waiting for?

We sure hope so!

YAY! im proud of her and last night's episode was funny as hell lol. and nothing was photoshopped. she looked great =]. yay. I can't wait for her comeback performance . hopefully she knows everyones rooting for her and hopefully her comeback performance will be better than the VMA's one. The show is really quite good, so it's kind of a pity to see that all anyone can talk about is Britney's appearance. Sure, she was funny, but the key to the episode was the interplay between Marshall and the doctor.

I was pleasantly surprised by Britney's performance! She was cute, not wooden at all. She even overshadowed Scrubs' Sarah Chalke! As a person that has posted unfavorable comments about Britney in the past, I would like to give credit where credit is due and say "WAY TO GO, BRITNEY!"

BTW I watched How I met Your Mother for the first time last night and found it dry but she def added some sass to it. She def is a southern cutie amnd I agree with the cast on that show that girl does have great comedic timing. My favorite scene was the last scene with her and Doogie (he wil always be that to me).
