That's a mid70s pic you morons, probably promoting the Captain Fantastic album. Or maybe for a Hollywood star given the jacket. But he was handsome then in a winsome way. Still is. Sir Elton is the Queen of rock and pop, there is no doubt. His music, Taupin's lyrics. Magic. I will never forget his "Single Man" tour: just Elton and the piano and some of his original band. 1979, New Theatre, Oxford. We were the young Americans enchanted in the middle of the theater…about 8 rows back. And of COURSE he was looking at me!
