Sources are claiming that the younger Spears sister is sporting some hardware on her ring finger.
A family insider reports, "She's got an engagement ring. She's been showing it off and talking about it."
An official wedding date has yet to be announced and the happy news has yet to be officially confirmed.

I applaud them on trying to provide a stable life for their child. I got pregnant at 17 and married the father before our son was born. We have been married 8 years (longer than many marriages of people of any age now days!). We have a happy life, have never been on welfare, are devoted to raising our 2 wonderful kids and are each others bestfriends. I do not advocate teenage parenthood or marriages in any way (few turn out the way mine has) and I'll be the first one to tell you its hard and takes 110% effort to make it work…. but it can be done if you are determined and mature enough. I wish more people would put as much into their families as they do themselves. When my son comes home talking about how he wants a stepfather because everyone else has one you know something is wrong with society as a whole.

I bet they may be getting married so that his name can appear on the baby's birth certificate. Legally, a woman's husband is presumed to be the baby's father in most states. Maybe Casey is not the baby's bio dad and the Spears do not want this info to come out. If Jamie Lynn and Casey are not married AND he was not the bio dad, he would have to formally adopt the child if they wanted him to be the legal father.
