-If you look at the complete iTunes singles chart, Madonna is in there 3 times with the same song. All together, she would be much higher than #10. Mariah is only on there once.
- Carey's song has been on the radio for more than a month while Madonna's only a week. It is expected that Touch My Body will have a strong first week and go down while Madonna's will gain airplay and rise on iTunes.
-Madonna's was available Tuesday while Mariah's Monday.
- Madonna's song is #1 on Amazon downloads.
- Also, look at the complete album chart on iTunes, Madonna is also there twice (#3, #22) with the same album, which counted as one, would probably take her higher than #3."

It's nice to have new music from both of them. This analysis does indeed make sense as Mariahs song has been out for quite some time and Madonnas barely a week. They will both have great sales and though I myself much prefer Madonna and her new track isn't it nice to have two such entertaining women with such a long and proven track record still giving it to us.
I don't think I've heard Madonna's song, but I love Mariah's. I'm not a Madonna fan. I think she's old and washed up! Mariah has the real talent. That girl can sing.

Their new CD's have not even debuted. On "Emancipation of MiMi" Mariah hit new heights sold millions and reached new fans. Madonna did what she has been doing for the last 15 years-she came on strong at first, sold to her core fanbase and then faded away because of continued shitty product. Does anyone even remember "American Life" and "Confessions…" sold about as many copies. It really is like comparing apples and rotten oranges.

I am a die-hard Mariah fan. I just dont understand why people are trying to make a rivalry amongst the two. Mariah even said it the other week that she has nothing against madonna. She dosent even know her. They have 2 different music styles. One is a entertainer and the other is a singer. They have both been around for years and have devoted fans. I will admit that I am a fan of Madonna's older music. She took more risk. The "4 minutes" track is just so wack to me. It sounds like a Justin song featuring Madonna. You can barely even hear her. No emotion or nothing in her delivery. Mariahs single is not my favorite but It grew on me. Mariah has always stuck to her formula and that is what she is known for. You know what you will get from mariah. Solid songs!!!
